Hu Tieu Ben Tre

It’s a very busy place with lots of local diners frequenting this Vietnamese restaurant for Sunday lunch when we were there. There is no need to book as they have a good size to cater for diners. About 70% of tables were filled when we arrived for lunch around 12:30pm. Genuine and authentic Vietnamese meals in good size and generous portion. Value for money. Casual setting. Orders come in 10-15 minutes after ordering.

Always under staffed? Yes, that's probably every Viet restaurant because that's in our culture. Is the food bad? Don't believe the words of people that are not Vietnamese that say it's bad because it is actually good (a rating like this yet every dinner time they are packed, as yourself why). That goes for any cuisine to be honest. It's like an Australian person criticising Jamaican curry goat. Likely they don't know anything about how our food is supposed to taste. But yeh need more staff, people waiting, staff over worked, they will forgot things and are more prone to making mistakes. Unfortunate.

Nice authentic Vietnamese food. Lots of seating and tables. Service (without) smiles but if you were working 12hrs days in a family restaurant then you can’t blame them. Food came out in a good time and was cooked beautifully. Nice complimentary tea. Menu prices are pretty darn good for the portion sizes. I always leave full or content, never feel jipped. Ample parking outside. Would definitely recommend a visit if you haven’t been!
