Popped in today for a pint while out walking my dogs, there were water bowls out back for them and the beer was reasonably priced and served by pleasant staff, the only complaint I have is not with the place but some of the customers who were in who I hope read this... A guy was at the bar complaining because the staff said they needed to wait 30 mins before taking any food orders as they were staff down and it was a busy bank holiday, rather than accept that the staff were doing their best, the guy tried to act the big man in front of his family and other customers by repeatedly badgering the staff about it. The staff continued to be polite to the douchebag long after most humans would have snapped and thrown them out.
To that guy - I hope you stand on lego and that you not realise your milk is off until you've already poured it in your tea.
The food from the Black Bull is amazing, I highly recommend the turkey stottie, home made roast potatoes, compliments to the chefs, it’s a great atmosphere, really good service from the bar staff, great value for money! Thank you

It was my first visit here for mine and my mum's birthday lunch. My parents have lunch every Wednesday here and have raved about the place. Mum and me had a lovely lunch. Tasty food and not stupid prices for it. I'll be coming again.
We were here Saturday night for hen party staff were absolutely fabulous most welcome we had felt all day so we stayed for five hours well done bar staff thanks for great experience
Absolutely fab burgers, I had the fiery chicken and the hubby had the dirty Doris. Both beautiful and great value for money. Will most definitely be back to try the rest of the menu ��

I visited my friends in the village so was in the pub most of the weekend . I have to say it was very hospitable and a good all round experience. Loved the chocolate brownies after my bike ride too . Cheers guys x
First time in Black Bull Morpeth we are from North Shields day out as it was my Birthday the food was lovely great value,and the staff were very pleasant they even wished me Happy Birthday we will certainly be back.
Lovely Food, great staff, a lovely pub would recommend a visit.
Had a lovely lunch meal here with a mixed family group. Staff were very friendly and attentive. It is dog friendly and our pooches were made a fuss of, water and treats before we even sat down. Lunch menu has lots of variety, the chef was really great at sorting out gluten free options or possible substitutions. Child menu was Great value and had a HUGE portion. Enjoyed our skewers and would look forward to coming back.
Lovely pub. Great beers and great atmosphere, very hot and sweaty but think everywhere was probably the same today.
Appreciated the effort to make things right, sometimes it's not always about errors as things happen but how you deal with them. Staff are friendly, food is reasonably priced and tasty.
A pub on the main street in Morpeth, have been in a few times now on an afternoon, never too busy so there is always a lot of choice for tables. They do serve food but haven't ever tried it.
First visit and won't be our last. Ale was lovely and the food looked reasonably priced so will try next time. Staff very friendly. Up market place with gorgeous surroundings.

Only 3 staff on that Saturday night that I could see, but they did their best bless um. Was a good place to start the night in Morpeth.
Only had drinks. It's changed a lot since I was last in, circa 1978?, big, comfortable and pleasantly quiet.
