Roaches Lock Inn

Been there before after long walk at the nearby reservoir. Lovely relaxing views of the canal if outside or under the, new for us, "conservatory". Service is very good, very dedicated waitresses.. Nice cold beers and coca colas. What was really bad was the amount of time we had to wait for the food to arrive. That's not the fault of the waitress though. And honestly, don't think any was great. I cannot say how busy it was inside the pub. There were only 4 tables outside. My gammon was a nice piece but sadly, overcooked and very salty. Probably overcooked while other food being cooked. The pies weren't great and the batter of the fish'n'chips wasn't crispy. And the worst, i am sure the peas and the mushy peas were from tins. Lovely chips. Unusually and in the good side again, related to the waitresses, after one round of drinks, we asked for jug of water to share btw 6, and they brought it in a jug with ice and lemon and the 6 glasses, all with a smile. Lovely. I think I would go back bc the position and the waitresses dedication and might try to eat again, just in case it was a bad day.

Just had a lovely family meal, they accommodated the changes for an allergy/fussy eater with no issues. The food was delicious, I had the chicken burger which was moist and probably the nicest burger I’ve had in a long time. The service was outstanding, nothing to was too much work and very friendly. Will certainly be returning now the menu has changed as so much more choice.

haven’t been to roaches lock in some time well lovely to say we will be back . Food was perfect , customer service was brilliant and the girls that was serving the table was so lovely and caring. Such a warm and welcoming pub and the staff , owner chefs and everyone there including the puppys gave such an amazing and special experience for us . A special shout out to ebony , Hannah and Courtney ,For being so lovely greeting us with warm welcomes . Food amazing as ALWAYS !! 100% recommend

Visited Roaches Lock today a party of 10 ..A lovely warm welcome and the perfect Sunday vibes!.. Was clear to see they was struggling with getting a good up front team. Will try again simply because I could see the management were trying.. the vibes and decor were perfect and the food was spot on! Service wasn't the best despite pre ordering but I was impressed enough to try again. See you soon xx
