This is a great place, obviously the menu says one thing and you get a take on it you wouldn't expect and it works so well. This was my forth visit here since opening. Most the staff were great though one was a little condescending after being very helpful with my likes or dislikes / allergies on ce
My first experience but after this it won't be my last! Have intolerances that were catered for no problem. Staff very knowledgeable and even had a good banter with the new but very polite young man. Thank you so much
Thanks for such a memorable evening. We had way more food on the tasting menu than we were expecting. Wonderful staff, food and experience.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Everything was lovely, food, service and all the little details. We went for 3 course lunch and were really looked after, sommelier was very knowledgeable, we both enjoyed all the food, cocktails, cheeses, wine all of it! I'd highly recommend coming Will come b
I had a very enjoyable, first time visit to this Michelin starred restaurant. All the food was delicious, tasty rhubarb cocktail & triffle. Pork & hake were cooked to perfection. A tad too much garlic for both of us, but the service was exceptional.
Johns house has a great ambiance and the service is excellent. The star of the visit was of course the food. I can’t wait to go back for dinner next time.
What a lovely afternoon!! Everything about this little gem is fantastic!! After drinking one wine recommendation...I reckon that we will get the wine flight next time!! Delicious food and not a pretentious atmosphere at all!!
Beautifully presented and cooked food we dined at lunch time and had the 5 course taster menu our servers explained each dish and were attentive and knowledgeable would highly recommend.
Excellent. Food now better value than some places locally. I was shocked. Excellent overall.
Had a lovely Saturday lunch here recently. They do a very-reasonably priced three course lunch menu which we went for, with a couple of choices of each of starter, main and dessert. It also has optional pre-dessert and cheese courses but we gave those a miss. We both had the same dishes: smoked salm
We went for the 7 Course Taster Menu, can say that the service and food was excellent, growing up in the area stone hurst farm has always had a place in my heart but to have a restaurant with its own produce makes the experience even better. We had snacks on arrival and in between courses, we liked
First ever visit with Good Friends really welcoming front of House Pedro is a Real Asset 👍 Had tasting menu it was fabulous The Warm Onion Buns with Wild Garlic Butter were icing on the cake Will deffo revisit Well Done To All of The Team for making it a Real Culinary Experience
Well that was tremendous. Josh our sommelier was amazing. The food was perfect and tailored to individual needs. Lots of questions and always answered with decorum, love it. John, stay strong and don’t change a thing.
Excellent service and food. Wine pairing was well worth the extra
Five stars is not enough..... food is amazing, service is 2nd to none. Totally recommended, not an everyday place but for special occasions... well worth it.
John's house is an amazing culinary experience from start to finish. Imaginative food without been pretensious. A delight from course to course. All the staff are so polite and professional and also engaging. Love it here - it's special.
Amazing food and wines delivered by staff who are incredibly knowledgeable about the food and wine served. I'm not sure my palet is sensitive enough to pick up all the flavours but if you appreciate Michelin star food quality you'll love it!!
