Review Rustic Kitchen And Deli - Mountsorrel

Pasticceria Lorena
Enjoyed a fabulous breakfast in the beautiful courtyard garden, the best breakfast muffin I have ever tasted by far! Coffee was also great as was the service. The deli has some great produce too. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning to try some of the other delicious sounding options on the menu 😋

I genuinely had the best breakfast muffin from here that I think I’ve ever eaten in my life. If you’re around the Loughborough/ Leicester area this a must visit breakfast spot. Great food, great service and lovely atmosphere. I’m so sad they don’t have one closer to my home as I think there will be a RBK breakfast muffin shaped hole in my life forever now.

Do yourself a favour and go! Absolutely fantastic food, such great flavours in literally everything on your plate. I had the veggie brunch and everything from the tomato to the halloumi tasted fresh, delicious with plenty of flavour as if it's all been sourced from quality places and cooked with individual flavours in mind e.g. spinach was spiced really subtly but just enough. Son had the French toast with Nutella which I had to steal some of as again it was delicious and he polished it off. Mrs had the Vada Pav which was spicy and tasted authentic. The staff were superb, friendly and helpful with offering dairy free alternatives e.g. oat milk hot chocolate. Coffee was superb, brilliant flavour. Baby changing facilities were great, with hot water! Can't rate it highly enough...only thing I wish I had done was try one of the baked treats, the custard tart and short bread looked incredible! We will be back I'm sure, but with the whole family next time.

Cool place! Went for brunch & had the veggie breakfast, partner had the three cheese toastie. Food came quickly & was really good. Only slight downside was the service. None of the staff spoke when we first arrived & as our first time it would have been nice to have felt more welcomed as first impressions, the atmosphere didn’t seem overly friendly which was a shame! Would definitely go back for the food though!

Probably the best Full English I’ve ever had. Top quality ingredients, perfect coffee, and the actual building itself finished to a really high standard. Quality!

Food was INCREDIBLE!! Both myself and my partner agreed it's the best place to get breakfast from. The service was lovely and staff were cheery which created an inviting and comfortable environment. Will absolutely be visiting again, worth every penny!!

The best cafe around Leicestershire not even up for debate! Prices are above average yes but completely valid when you taste the quality and understand the hard work that goes into creating and executing dishes like these. Great work guys, can’t wait to see what’s on the menu next!

Absolute gem of a place. We ate in or should l say 'kerbside', it was busy but plenty of helpful staff, we waited for our hot food but we were prewarned of the wait time. Some what quirky menu in places which for me made it even more interesting. I had their take on eggy bread with bacon and syrup, l think it was called eggy custard bread and you had a choice of toppings from pears, nuts or bacon (l can't remember exactly). My husband had a cheese, ham and homemade pickle sandwich topped with what they call mon-ster munch -different and delicious. We also brought varies goodies home, black pudding scotch egg and regular scotch egg and to our delight the egg was still runny so cooked to absolute perfection! The vegetarian roll and sausage roll again delicious -lots of filling with a thin layer of perfect pastry and finally desserts; my husband is yet to eat his egg custard tart but l couldn't resist my peach and prosecco cake, the photo doesn't do it justice, it was an absolute treat 😋. NOTE: l have based the price for our brunch and not our take out

This place is excellent. Went to ‘RKD’ yesterday Saturday 19 August for late-breakfast/lunch. The immediate feel walking through the door was warm and welcoming into a modern bright fresh cafe. I was with 2 friends, we ordered 2 full English and one vegetarian breakfasts -we each agreed these were getting on to be the best we’d ever had. The meals, like the decor, were well presented, were well cooked and each item on the plate had bundles of flavour. The point of difference being the amount of care put into this ubiquitous of meals. Really they were ‘dishes’ not just churned out fare. I had x2 flat whites during the meal and these were also probably the best I’ve had in the UK.
