Review The Manor Restaurant - Mundesley

This is the 3rd time I have stayed here. It is a little dated but we like this. The breakfasts are lovely but it was very busy and most mornings only 1 person was clearing and setting tables. Our room was clean, not one of the best we have stayed in but still ample for our needs. Some of the staff here work so hard and are very friendly. The carvery was delicious. My main complaint is £2.20 for a small glass of lemonade or coke is extortionate when we had quite a few children in our party. Secondly the public toilets should be checked regularly as my partner said the men's were awful. However, we love Mundesley and this hotel and am sure it can improve on these small issues in the future

I went to the Manor for the Sunday carvery with a large family group. There is a lovely sea view if you ask to sit in the conservatory at the back, and we found the hotel itself to be very accessible, with a small disabled car park with ramp access into the building. Staff were incredibly helpful to ensure everyone was taken care of, helping people who had difficulty walking or carrying their meals from the carvery counter (not just with our party but with plenty of others throughout the busy lunchtime period). I was very impressed with the helpful service, staff were patient and didn't make my elderly relatives feel rushed at all. The meal itself was good, asking for different dietary requirements to be met was again no trouble for the staff.

We had Sunday breakfast at the Manor Hotel after packing in readiness from our self catering accommodation. 1. It was planned for convenience. 2. It was a wonderful surprise, a real pearl in the shell. We enjoyed a fabulous full English breakfast with sea views. The service was attentive. The food was locally sourced and cooked better than some of the 5 star London hotels I have visited. Being a Scarborough lad, I was taken by the Victorian surroundings. I don't mind if the decor looks dated just as long as you are able to identify its origins. A true pleasure and a gem in Mundlesey.

Had the Sunday carvery. Absolutely superb!! Meat was well cooked and moist. The vegetables were kept in water that stopped them from drying out on the heat pans. Very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit!

Lovely big hotel. Room nice and clean with modern ensuite also very clean. Dog friendly but would never be able to tell. Staff all lovely and down to earth. The buffet breakfast was excellent. We tried the evening meal which was quite dissapointing. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The sea views were fantastic. The village was really nice too. The chip shop next door was delicious .

Just returned home from an overnight stay, just to escape our daughters 18th birthday party at our home! It's clear that the hotel is going through some maintenance/improvement work and unfortunately did seem a bit understaffed, which after talking to the manager is down to being let down by staff not turning up for work, but I have to say the staff that was working (and even one young lady that wasn't on shift but helping out as she was in the bar anyway) were all really friendly polite and very helpful especially considering how busy they were.. I thought our room (no.4) was clean and pleasant with a beautiful Seaview. Breakfast was great and again staff very helpful and quick to clear and set the tables, . We would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends, at the end of the day it is what you make of it! Thank you for a nice stay...

Only had the carvery here on a Sunday good choice of meats and good value, you can have more than one meat and you can go back for more vegetables. Roast potatoes could be crisper, crackling was lovely. Great view over the sea.

Stopped just for a quick pint on walk back to our holiday cottage, looks full of character, nice n 'old style' in lobby & front bar (the annexe to the side whilst brighter looked a bit like a characterless extension). We didn't stop to eat but the food looked good & people were happy! Staff relaxed & friendly! Dog Friendly!

It help us with what we need. Huge building and catering for a variety of needs. We were in the stable wing which was a little noisy. In hind sight we would have preferred to stay in the main building. Food very good and some great views. It's well position and in the summer is a great position.

It has a lot of potential, needs a bit of work doing to it but the staff really want it to work and are friendly. Yes a bit more attention to the toilets and a moral boost . Room was clean comfortable, hope someone has the money and passion to get it back to its worth. Would stay again
