Excellent Food- highly recommend this place. The blend of spice, tender meats (we had chicken and lamb) and friendly service makes for a wonderful dinner. Shish Channa Gosht and Josh Rogan - yum!

We absolutely love the food from Shish Mahal. The friendly staff always aim to please and nothing is ever too much. We have never had a bad experience to date.
If you're in the area, do give it a try. Even if you're not local to it, it's well worth the short drive to Musselburgh just on the outskirt

Food and service was that good that a ÂŁ20 tip was going to be left, but they did not return with the ÂŁ4.90 change from the bill so ended up with that as there tip instead. (You missed out lads) will be back again for sure.
Food always decent. Should offer a better variety of condiments with popadoms like other Indian restaurants. The owner spend 30mins on face time loudspeaker that was a big distraction. Great service when kamal is on shift but it’s tough otherwise. Wouldn’t buy a coffee as it’s instant and cheap
Pricey but probably the best Indian food I’ve had. Staff treated us great, and although there was a long wait for the food they did warn us of it when we stepped in the door as they had issues opening up earlier.

If you enjoy Indian food this this restaurant the shush Mahal is a most visit. The restaurant may not be the biggest, but the food was fantastic. A good section of starters and main meals and very good portion sizes. One of the biggest nan breads iv ever had. The staff were very friendly and helpful
