Tea By The Lock - Naburn - Photo album

What a wonderful discovery when we moored our narrow boat on Naburn floating pontoon. This gem of a cafe serves truly scrummy cakes and scones. I've tried the Ginger cake & the Rose vanilla & Strawberry sponge. The sponge was so light, with really good flavour. Welcoming staff, dog friendly. Really
A little gem! Fantastic cafe, delicious food and a very welcoming atmosphere. Very dog friendly, all the staff were looked after our little pup. The best part, it's 100% plant based! 🌱
This rather quirky "cafe" is all vegan. What a lovely find after eating one of the best cheese scones I've had in a long time.. Didn't even know it was vegan till we saw a sign and asked! Only thing that lets this lovely place down are the one toilet in a dingy back room, but the toilet room is love
Once again visited this little gem of a cafe! Had a delicious sausage sandwich, beautifully presented. Fabulous cakes are always irresistible, today we tried lemon and blackcurrant and chocolate and ginger. So moist! Lovely friendly staff and piano music completed the visit. Love the vintage crocker
An AMAZING find! The cakes (5/6 to choose from) were such unusual flavours (we chose Strawberry, Rose & Vanilla and Chocolate Orange & Ginger) and the most moist I’ve ever tasted. Wonderful. Going back tomorrow to grab some to take him with us. As for the staff - all super friendly and helpful. A lo
Always love it here, so relaxing and the food is excellent. The service is outstanding and the setting is fabulous. As for all the various cakes on offer, wow, delicious! Dog friendly too. Our dog loves it here, he relaxes instantly...must be the positive vibes you feel as you enter. Highly recommen
We visited for drinks and cake - delicious! Cakes were delicious- really moist, which is no mean feat for plant based! My coffee and walnut was spectacular. The lady who runs it was very friendly And there's a small selection of toys for kids. Plenty of seating inside and some outside too.
Visited this morning on a random recommendation and so pleased we did. Quaint little place next to the river in Naburn next to the lock. Lovely reception from the owner, giving us some history of what’s been done to the building and what’s coming next. Not having been a lover of Vegan food I was a b
So glad to have found this hidden vegan vintage gem. Very warm welcome with a great selection of plant based cakes and treats with lots of teas on offer. All in a gorgeous setting.
Pretty much incredibly lovely. Went there on Bank Holiday Monday and while I was mildly chastised for attempting to order tuna in a vegan café the vegan egg mayonnaise I ended up with was lovely. As was the burgeoning spring flora. And the ginger and chocolate cake was out of this world good. Also t
