As a regular visitor to Egypt mills we popped in for lunch midweek . The freshly made sandwiches are always to die for . 3 of us went for different options .
Beef and horseradish, Ham and mustard, and chicken salad . These were served very quickly at a busy period with great portions . The sun was shining as we enjoyed our lunch . Great service as always and plesent staff make it the place to eat in nailsworth
30 years ago we held our wedding reception at Egypt Mill which was long before it had become a wedding venue. Today we came back to celebrate our anniversary with close friends and weren’t disappointed. Upon arrival we were given a free bottle of Prosecco. Three of us had the roast and one the Hake meal. All were delicious and rounded off by the excellent crumble and coffee. The great thing was that we weren’t rushed at all and managed to have a great catch up with our friends. We still love Egypt Mill after all these years and would highly recommend it.

Me and hubby here for our anniversary. Food was gorgeous,staff really polite and helpful. Prices reasonable. Would definitely recommend it. Not seen our room yet but I'm sure it'll be lovely x

What a great Christmas meal we had as a party off a 100 Cotswold Canal Trust. The meal and upstairs venue was excellent.
My wife and I regularly call in for morning cafeteria coffee after a walk from Stroud along the old train footpath and it’s one of the best with biscuits for a very reasonable price. It’s lovely to sit outside next to the water on a sunny day. They are always improving the environment.
I found this wonderful hotel on the Web. As it was near to where my friends were getting married. The place is in a stunning location although the entrance can be easily missed. The rushing mill stream crossed by a bridge to the lovely reception area. Downstairs is a bar and restaurant. 40 gins for you to try. The breakfast was spectacular. Full English with various style eggs. Pots of coffee and tea. Staff friendly and helpful. Now to the bedrooms. Spacious, en suite, tv, wi-fi, and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Deep pillows and a wonderful duvet with an extra throw for cold blooded mortals. Tea and coffee provided in the room. And so peaceful and quiet.

A beautiful setting for a restaurant and bar and the interior did not disappoint either. Staff were welcoming and friendly and we enjoyed a lovely, early evening meal from a very reasonably priced day-time menu. Will definitely return if ever we are in that neck of the woods again!

Can’t fault anything we had a fabulous weekend staff were so helpful and friendly the atmosphere was already Christmassy we enjoyed hot mulled wine by the fire pit outdoors with fairy lights and Santa flying over the river. Met family here to exchange gifts? were able to share quality time 100% food beverage and service.
Lovely wedding venue. Had the pleasure of shooting a wedding here recently and found the staff very efficient on the day and the food was excellent.

We had our day just over a week ago on Friday 2 June and it was just fabulous. The venue is amazing and I can not thank the staff enough for making our day run smoothly. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all fab from start to finish! So thank you Paul and all at egypt mill for making our day so special �
We held two parties for our 70th birthday parties. The room was excellent for about 30/40 people at each event (would have taken more if required) with bar available and pleasant dining and sitting areas. The staff were absolutely excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The atmosphere was relaxed and our guests had a great time. The food exceeded our expectations. Our experience of Egypt Mill has been utterly wonderful. Fantastic staff, incredibly helpful and all with a lovely, welcoming manner. The room we had, had all we needed, esp love the Bramley products. Great setting, really hope to come back soon 👍🏻
The evening food and the breakfast was very nice, the service was good too. We stay in room 15, it had a nice high wooden beamed ceiling, tge bed was super comfy, we had a lovely nights sleep. Would definitely come here again.
Very friendly and helpful service. Breakfast is a stand alone event not to be missed. Our Room 1 is in need of updating in line with the restaurant. We have stayed on a number of occasions in both buildings and should probably have paid for an upgrade to the main building. We both love fish and would like to have seen it more on the menu. But the staff obviously enjoy what they do and ensured that we had a good meal and stay. The only criticism would be the style and volume of music at dinner. Breakfast music was quieter and inoffensive. It is my belief that a good restaurant does not need piped music. There was a good ambience already which was spoilt by the muzak.

Had an excellent meal here which was really made by the fantastic service that we received by our waitress. Unfortunately we didn't catch her name but she had short dark hair, blue eyes and really couldn't do enough for us. As well as being friendly and efficient she was also knowledgeable of the menu in light of some allergies at the table. Thank you so much!
The hotel is a lovely place just off the main road. Food was fantastic everytime we ate but the service was spot on at breakfast. Thank you Bruce.

Coffees and teas always full even though some days you were running around quite fast.

A lovely local bar and restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating some of which is under cover.
The old mill building is sympathetically decorated and the mill pond outside is beautiful.
A large car park also has access to local paths to walk and shops are just five minutes away in the town centre but out of sight from the mill.
Frequently visit and would recommend.
The room we were in was okay if you are a hobbit. I am over 6 ft tall. The room itself was high enough to walk round with no issues. The toilet however was another story. There was a beam across the toilet at approximately 5 ft from the floor. I had to bend over double. Both my wife and myself were laughing everytime I needed the toilet. The food was really nice and the service top class I would definitely go back but would ask for a different room.
Had an amazing lunch with my 1year old twins today. Food was lovely however the service made it exceptional. Gentlemen by the name of Bruce was so friendly and helpful. Helped with my twins and even brought them some baby spoons and washed their bibs.
Thanks so much Bruce! There needs to be more people like you in this world.
