Lovely hidden gem in New Brighton. A lovely cosy place decorated to look like a wartime restaurant. The staff were really friendly and the food and drinks were great.

I booked the Mess for my sister's hen do in October, and it was a fantastic venue! From the wow factor of approaching the fort, to the table decorations, use of their overhead projector, and of course their karaoke machine. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was to the bride's tastes, including mixing her her own signature cocktail. Lots of the guests told me they had a fantastic night.

Have visited a few times now for a coffee, this evening we went for a bite to eat, there was an offer on this evening, 2 for 1 on pizza, the pizza was freshly cooked and very nice, service was as usual, exceptional!!

Beautiful little cafe, really polite staff. Did an amazing hot chocolate. Went back for lunch and had the most amazing pepperoni pizza. Lovely atmosphere with relaxing music playing in the background.

A lovely surprise! We walked along the promenade and noticed the café, so decided to stop for a coffee. The gentleman at the café was really nice and the coffee was delicious! I will definitely come back 😊

Cafe is an interesting space . It's doggy friendly. A little pricey . £4 for toast for two people ? £11 for two cuppas and two toast .. that seems a little.excessive for families or those on a budget . When we asked for an extra pat of butter,we were told "you'll have to pay for it' . Not the best response .

Fantastic place to be. To rest after a walk along the beach. Very friendly. Both live music and pre-recorded music added to the atmosphere.

What better place to watch the river and beach from? The Mess @Fort Perch Rock has it all. The atmosphere, the view, the food, drinks and staff who serve you with a smile and have a friendly chat. Definitely worth a stop

Great little cafe. Limited but good menu at reasonable prices, and very friendly staff. In the winter could do with a bit more heating than the one log burner. Some outside seating available at the entrance in the winter, and In the summer additional outside seating available at the rear. Dog friendly. Recommended.

We found the Mess in Fort Perch Rock on the last day of a long weekend visit to Liverpool. It was a delightful gem, with the food, drink, service and atmosphere all being amazing! We cannot wait to go back!

Great food at this little warm and friendly cafe in New Brighton. Today I had the Steak and ale pie and it was scrummy. Great place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or just a brew with a slice of cake!
