Heaps of atmosphere at The Royal Oak in New Malden. Excellent wait staff. Lovely outdoor seating. I'm delighted that this is the closest pub to a friend of mine who lives nearby. We stop in here often when I visit. As she was laid up this visit, I arranged for take out even though the pub doesn't do takeout. Very kind of them! We both had delicious fish and sweet potato french fries. I can't wait to return.

Nice local pub with pleasant, helpful staff & good ale. It's also the only dog friendly pub in the area which, I think, is an important factor as pubs have traditionally been places where the working man could sit with his pint & a faithful hound by his side. I note that some have complained & assume they aren't dog owners. Who else would complain about a dog having a wee on grass - you've obviously never tried to interrupt one in mid wee...😂😂😂 It's natural, it's what they do.

Lovely atmosphere for the occasion of a wake. Very friendly staff, good selection of ales and ciders and spirits. All round well presented pub.

It’s a cool pub with its own character. The decorations is nicely done and you can see lighted candles on the tables.
We tried their chicken wings with buffalo sauce and their fries, both were tasty and delicious.

Great comedy gigs upstairs
The on tap cocktails are actually nice which is a surprise!
The pub is dog friendly, the comedy venue upstairs isn’t (but I think that’s due to space restrictions)
Have only tried the food on a comedy night when they have a restricted menu but it was ok standard pub grub, the normal menu looks great and I want to come back and try their steaks!

Luke and his team are so helpful and wonderful. We held our Summer BBQ here for our company (Hello Neighbour Ltd) and they were incredibly accommodating and helpful. From pre-prep to on the day service.
And the delicious welcome Pimms was perfect for a warm summers day.
The team had a wonderful time and we even requested specific salads which were not on the menu and what they gave us were so delicious.
We will definitely use again - thanks Luke and team

Friendly staff, offered an umbrella for the garden amidst the summer heatwave. Well kept traditional pub with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. The Sunday roast was one of the best we've had and we will be coming back for more! Stunning gravy, vegetables full of flavour, generous portion of meat.
