Honestly I was surprised with the quality of the curry goat and customer service experience. For years I’ve been going to True flavours in Brixton but this company set a high standards for me when it comes to Caribbean food. The gave me a good portion plus the meet was seasoned well with good decoration/presentation, the container was very good, they used expensive and good quality rice and meet. Great customer and didn’t witness the typical rude attitude. Thank you

As a Caribbean national who is currently disappointed by Caribbean food and service in London, this restaurant was a very pleasant surprise. The food was fairly authentic and well-presented for a reasonable price, and delivered on time without any calls to say "sorry, we no longer have the ...". Definitely will support their restaurant again :)

Have ordered from here an embarrassing amount of times 😂 I’m a really good home cook (modest) and am normally always disappointed by food cooked by most other people. Lack of love, lack of seasoning, lack of passion. This place though, is another level. I was sure someone’s grandma was making all the food because it’s flavoured, cooked and seasoned with the love of someone who’s been doing it for decades and decades. The portions are large. Nothing is greasy. The jerk chicken is in its own league. Prawn starters just beyond fresh and in the crunchiest of coatings. Rice and peas perfectly seasoned and without too strong a hint of sweetness (my personal preference). I could go on but you get my point 😊 Really deserving owner who actually cares about the produce he’s buying and making for customers.

This is a restaurant in my local area that I had been crying out for many years. (as a frequent eater of many Caribbean cuisines). I’ve lived in this area that unfortunately never provided any of these cuisines and their authentic flavours. I have eaten from Smokings Kitchen many times since they opened and I’ve enjoyed a fair amount of their menu. I will only discuss my recent outing in this review. Smokings Kitchen offers a variety of Jamaican meals and food options to eat. All made with care and great attention to assure maximum flavour and surprisingly large portions. The boneless jerk meal hits all the flavour and spice marks and paired with their side dishes such as fried plantains and coleslaw - it really is a mouthwatering meal. Their jerk wrap is packed full of flavour with their incredible jerk sauce being the main flavour component. Their side dishes are just as you expect from a Jamaican restaurant, they’re well made and really fair with their portion sizes for each item so you get value for your money. In store they offer a variety of their branded snacks and drinks AND they serve alcoholic drinks as an option for those looking for a fun dining experience. My only negative with the restaurant is that for some reason it is more expensive to order in store than using Uber eats. I find that to be a problem because you end up using the Uber eats app and selecting the free collection. For example the meal I had was £44.35 in total on Uber eats but in store it was £46.90. And the Uber eats options is not always available because they’re still a small establishment in the area. If I were you I’d make sure to check if ordering on Uber eats is available before going in store to save just a little bit. However, I highly recommend everyone check this place out. I personally can’t praise them high enough for the quality of food every time I’ve eaten their food and I hope you enjoy it the same way too.
