Review The Coach House - New Romney

Iulian Cozma
Been there on Saturday along with my family and had the breakfast. We had Eggs Benedict, kids pancakes which was tasty. My wife had shakshuka. For the weather outside those days, we have been there with our friends, but they doesn't allow us to sit outside and we had to sit inside, where was a bit too warm.

Popped here for lunch on a weekend away and had a lovely experience. We brought our puppy with us and sat outside. We were immediately greeted by our server who was warm, welcoming and friendly - and very good with our dog! We got served quickly, I had the croque Monsieur which was served with an amazing mango chutney - delicious! The chips were really well seasoned and super crunchy! We also bought some millionaires shortbread to take away with us, also very tasty. It was lovely sitting in their cute little outdoors area with the church in the background and the sun shining. When I popped inside to use the toilet, I saw how lovely the décor was, with the coach house theme running throughout. Definitely worth a visit to this charming café in a sweet village. Parking right next door too!

Always enjoy the excellent coffee and croissants here. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Have eaten a couple of the other meals but they're not to my taste as I prefer plainer dishes for breakfast / lunch.

We had a wonderful lunch at this hidden gem of a restaurant - The Coach House in New Romney. We were seated outside by very friendly staff. The sun was very strong so  the staff kindly extended their awning creating a lovely shade. They took our orders (its table service, so no need to approach the counter) I had a BLT (with a spicy Mediterranean twist) which really hit the spot, and highly recommend 😋 and my wife had an omelette , equally delicious! We ended up chatting with the fun (and good cheeky sense of humour that we love) owners Fred and Hazel, who were welcoming and clearly passionate about what they do. All the food is made fresh on site to order and you could feel how proud they are about the quality of food and service. We chatted with the owners well past their closing of lunch service and if I could, I would have sat their drinking and chatting for the rest of the afternoon. While it's a distance from where we live (75 min drive) I'll definitely be returning. So if you're looking to try something a little different with some character then get yourself to The Coach House. I'd also suggest you visit soon before it becomes world famous and you miss out because it will be fully booked 😁

My partner and I had the loaded pancakes. Which were 4 thick drop pancakes loaded with greek yoghurt, different fruits, pistachio nuts, maple syrup, chocolate and little chunks of salty bacon. Taste explosion. Delicious and very filling. Topped off with a delicious coffee or two 😋

We have been to The Coach House a number of times for breakfast and the breakfasts are delicious. I particularly enjoy the waffles and my son enjoys the pancakes 👍🏼 Today we went to the New Romney Lantern Parade and decided to visit The Coach House for our dinner. My wife had The Gyros and me and my youngest son had The Chicken Burger and Chips. My wife loved the Gyros and The burger was probably the best chicken burger I've ever had, and the chips were definitely the best chips I've ever had! Both the burger and the chips were amazing. They were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. The chips seasoning gave them the best flavour and they were perfectly crunchy. Staff were friendly as always and we will definitely be returning again soon. The best place to eat in New Romney in my opinion.

We stopped by for coffee and cake at the start of a cycle route around Romney Marsh. Good prompt service too. Popular with cyclists with space for bikes outside.

In New Romney for a weekend away down the coast, this is a lovely place for a fresh full English, tea and a great range of cakes. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, with a car park attached to the building. Easy and fairly priced place to come if your in the area. Outdoor seating great for dogs, cyclists etc.. J

We ordered a buffet from the Coach House, which went down a treat. The food was delicious and the portions were were a great size for a buffet! Yvonne was also really helpful and catered for a guest who had specific dietary requirements, which was fab :-)
