Stopped for drinks here after a walk starting from the lovely village of Wellow. The staff serving behind the bar were really friendly and welcoming. Had a pint of Olde Red Lion ale which was £4 and very refreshing. Seating inside and outside. Pub is small with low ceilings and bags of character. Will definitely return and sample the food next time.

Lovely clean toilets, nice atmosphere but it’s quite a small space so it felt a bit claustrophobic. Good, friendly service but crisp flavour wrong. Dogs welcome, but not offered a gravy bone - on the bar in a jar.

First visit with my husband. We had lunch. As soon as we walked in, it felt warm and welcoming. Perfect size menu and owner/lady behind the bar was very friendly. We will definitely be returning and will highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you.

Called there today with my father and son. . Was so happy to see sign on the door saying dogs welcome even though I didn't have my dogs with me. Was welcomed straight away by the staff. Just so friendly . My father and son had small fish and chips with mushy peas. It was a very good portion size.Chips were what I call home made. Very morish. I asked for a chip salad as I'm vegan. The staff member asked the chef what they had to put on my salad.. They brought me a lovely salad. Very very nice place. We will definitely go back again if we're that way again. Took a photo of my salad but couldn't find place to post it.

Called in on the off chance with the dog. Bar area dog friendly, and was quite full with really welcoming staff and locals. Ordered food and was treated to one of the finest bar meals, that I have had. Fantastic!

Always friendly atmosphere when we pop in for a pint. Tend to get busy with happy customers. Picnic benches are near carpark if you want to enjoy some sunshine.

Food was lovely and arrived quickly. We had Lasagne, which was delicious. Staff were polite and friendly. Slightly spoilt by chaps leaning on the bar. Conversation was loud, and quite intrusive. Plus it was liberally sprinkled with expletives. Okay, it's their pub, maybe, but was it necessary. In spite of that, would definitely go again.

A friend of ours mentioned have you ever been to Wellow village?we're there's still a maypole in the village green.i thought never heard of this place so one Sunday we went for a run out there and I was amazed how loverly this old English village was.after a look round we called to the olde red lion.has the sun was shining we decided to order 2x Sunday lunches.the staff was friendly with a warm welcome.there are tables outside and has we had our dog with us we sat outside although they do allow dogs inside in to the left of the bar area.the staff fetch our meals to us outside and was very polite.the food delicious.the meat roast cooked to perfection.we highly recommend this place.there is quite a large carpark at the side.go and give it a try loverly.

A charming traditional pub that oozes character. Tasty, excellent value Sunday lunches are served but would advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment as it is a relatively small place.
