Cherry Dining Room

A great place to camp or hike. Apparent proximity of campsites is deceptive - they are fairly well isolated from the park road and from one another. Primitive sites have a firepit with a small grill. The surface is flat and large enough for two tents. You have to park your car on the road in the designated spot, so be ready to haul your belongings uphill. Restrooms and showers are clean and not too far from the camp sites. There are quite a few trails in the park. The one around Stump Lake is fairly picturesque, but be ready for some mud, especially after the rain. Drive to the west shore of Punderson Lake to the lodge and conference center and take the stroll down the boardwalk along the lake shore. Trails on the west side of the park are mostly through the woods, so they somewhat similar. However they make a good running route.

Really neat state park! Only thing I can say is it just needs some general upkeep, paths were a little overgrown but nothing extreme. I really enjoyed the views and the experience. I thought this was a really nice place and if you stay at the manor it’s great for a morning walk/run/etc... The boardwalk was pretty neat just know that the side in the cabins is the entrance and the side near the manor is the exit so if you’re staying there it’s going to be a long walk one way no matter what. Really fun though. Saw a turtle.

This park may be small, but it's become my favorite Ohio State Park. This park has a little bit for everyone... archery, hiking, foraging, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking. The lake is perfect, no gas motors allowed and tons of fish. If you enjoy fishing for quiet and calm, this lake is perfect and top it off, you'll catch some fish. Some trails are well groomed and some are more difficult. There are many restrooms here and they were always clean. We got home from our first camping trip here this afternoon and I just booked another week in a month. We all fell in love with this park right away and can't wait to get back. The only downside is that many of the RV/trailer pads are uneven, making it difficult to get leveled. Not a deal breaker at all considering how much this park has to offer.

Pros: Frisbee golf is the best I've been to with multiple courses. Archery, kayaking/row boating, fishing, sledding hill are good. Boardwalk through the lake is fun. Couple of fun playgrounds for the kids. Cons: Hiking paths are wide and not that exciting. Camping is too compact wouldn't recommend. Tennis courts are cracking and nets falling apart. There is a golf course haven't been to yet. But a good place for family just got to know what to do. 4 stars overall

It was so great we had so much fun. We went to the campsite. We were there for only one day but it was so great. It was so clean and so nice. We had the nicest neighbor's ever and the nicest little place to camp. There were so many different spots and so many people. Everyone was so nice and as the employees were also. We are 100 percent going agian. We had a really nice campfire to roast hotdogs and marshmallows. We went to the little playground and we had so much fun. I am defiantly going again and I think that you should too.
