Lovely setting. Food was good. Service was pretty quirky with the blonde waitress - although some people may take offence to her phrases. Not too expensive considering the 4 of us. Few negatives compared to when we came last time. The roast dinner could of been put on hotter plates, they were tepid. £20+ a main it really needs to be hot. Both back doors were opened and lots of flies were hoovering in the establishment. Fly lights were up but not doing anything. Otherwise the food was pretty decent.

Cracking pub & an excellent Sunday roast. Lovely rich gravy & massive Yorkshire. £23 for beef & £6.50 for cauliflower cheese. Sticky toffee pudding was lovely. Left there totally stuffed.

An excellent pub. Great food, staff and very smart decor. Dog friendly with fires and in summer a fantastic garden with outdoor kitchen/bar. Landlord is also life and soul.

Incredible experience yet again. From our first encounter on arrival to a lovely helpful goodbye (we asked for some local Knowledge for a walk) The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you and the food speaks for itself! It’s not often you look at a menu and see over 5 things that you would choose to eat! So much choice and the standard is up there with the best.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at The Halfway Inn. 2 of us and we enjoyed a proper Sunday roast. Started with the tempura prawns which were light crispy & delicious.The roasts themselves were plentiful with a special mention for the gravy, which was off the charts. Despite being stuffed we had to go for the sticky toffee pudding which was outstanding with the home made fig & honey ice cream. Topped off with some lovely choices of wine & ale, with friendly service & a cozy setting it made for a fab way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Charlotte was a fantastic hostess, full of humour, great advice and a lovely customer focused attitude. We enjoyed her service and that of Jo. The food was great and definitely a place to visit. I think next time I come I’m having the mushrooms on toast, scotch egg and a burger. That Scotch egg looked wicked but nobody was sharing.

This place is stunning. Me my partner and dog has been twice for food. The service is friendly and can't do enough for u. There behaviour with the dog is amazing. They have beds, treats and water for him. The food first class. Will be back and can't wait

Had the full Sunday lunch. 4 Adults and a toddler. Eat inside which is a lovely environment. There is lots of outside seating. A DJ with music sets. Pizza and burgers served outside. Great service team. Large selection of drinks.
