People friendly pub and like the place for 1 or 2 pints.

Great old fashioned pub. You don't get many and it's so nice to go to an actual pub rather than a bistro. They have football on multiple tv's, I've always had a pleasurable time here

Went into the pub on a Saturday night (when they have live music) and it was a great atmosphere; band were great with people singing and dancing; band started around 21:30 and finished at midnight.

Great traditional, locals pub with good live music, dedicated pool room and outdoor smoking area. Beer selection is good and the landlord is a nice bloke. Even better when the resident dog is at the bar to greet you too!
We popped in here on NYE afternoon and the ambience was really good... wanted to return for NYE but all booked. Will return again whe we visit Newbury again.
