Great tacos, great margs, great atmosphere and great service.
Fab space with a fun cantina vibe. The staff were absolutely gorgeous, very friendly and helpful.
The food was sublime! Incredibly flavourful, hearty portions and a lot packed in! A good variety of choices too. I have only had the tacos and nachos but would love to try the burritos next time.
Would recommend to anyone wanting some really tasty Mexican food!
Great authentic Mexican food. It’s not big and super fancy restaurant but serve with good food. Enjoyed the taco, especially the fish one with mango sauce, that’s my favourite one. Price is slightly on pricer end now as everything is going up so it’s not cheap for tacos and tortillas, but it’s definitely worth of trying.
Service is okay as it’s more like self serve, you get everything online and people bring the food to you, nothing special.

Service very good! For the food we have no words. Tacos were just amazing, me and my husband had 6 as we could not decide on just 3 and were amazing, great flavours(member of staff recommended them and was the best choice). The chorizo enchiladas melt in your mouth, amazing! And the burrito was full of meat, so tasty!

Great authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices, along with nice Mexican cocktails and beers. Simple cantina-style decor and friendly staff. The burritos were great, and the tacos too, but the latter were a little on the small side, you would need 5 or 6 to fill you up - although you could also fill up on the delicious chocolate platano desserts!
Great time, great food, great staff. The only issue was another customer, who said they knew the owner and was extremely rude to our table. I was sitting on a table of 12 and some guy told us to be quieter (which is of course fine!) except he did it in a really awful way, called my friend a 'stupid woman' and dropped in that he knew the owner. Thought the owner should know that one of their friends isn't doing them any favours by being rude to so many customers. The staff were lovely and looked after us though.
We have been dining here since 2018 and it continued to be outstanding and the quality has not declined. This is a real gem of Newcastle, not only is it authentic Mexican food but good value for money and good service. The carnitas are juicy, the margaritas are great and the dorados are 👌🏻👌🏻 Any time we are in Newcastle we make sure we come to Chuchos. 11/10.
I was so happy to find an authentic, delicious Mexican restaurant in England. My husband and I ordered nachos (small but very tasty with homemade chips) and several tacos each. Every taco was perfectly balanced. Good prices. Good drinks. Great service. There were plenty of dairy free and vegetarian options, too.

For me and my wife, it was our 1st time having Mexican food, and wow, it was absolutely amazing. All 4 of us loved the food.
Being afternoon wasn't busy, service was 1st class.
And yes, we will be back.
Best mexican food in Newcastle, all at very reasonable prices. Great cocktails and the place was full on a Tuesday night, which I think speaks to the quality of this place. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already!
Great food (although the churros were a bit dry) and lovely drinks. Service was hit and miss and it was very cold in there. Would probably still go back though...hopefully with the heating on!

Hadn’t heard of this place before, went for lunch today before going rock climbing today. Feel like this is going to be my new favourite place to eat. Excellent service, great food and plenty to choose from! Would certainly recommend and will be returning. I got the Carnitas, Pescado and Verde tacos.
At first glance you'd think "meh, cute & quickly little Mexican restaurant, nothing I haven't seen before" until you try the food, wowzers!!! Absolutely awesome! Great food with lots of choices and loads of dips, super tasty!!! Highly recommend!! Staff were very friendly too👌🏻👊🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍
Food was so good best we’ve had in a long time was so worth every penny we can’t wait to go back server was very sweet with my 3 year old nephew as well
James Acaster said the haggis taco was the best taco he ever had, so I expected something epic.

Starters were the gringa and loaded nachos with beef. Tacos; carnitas, haggis, Mexican chorizo, carne asana and camaron. Churros for dessert.
The food came out super quickly but wasn’t very warm. There was so much onion and coriander on the tacos that I couldn’t taste much else. The service didn’t make me feel welcome and there weren’t enough nachos.
It’s fine and wasn’t too bad price wise. I just wouldn’t come back for anything.
