Friendly, great value for money food. Only a few negatives; too many labels on the walls and there was an elderly gentleman sat watching videos on his phone with the sound on. Would definitely go back though and recommend.
Under new management. *Great* value. We had a veggie Full English and a jacket potato; both well cooked, generous and as affordably priced as you’ll find anywhere. The lady now running it is clearly making a huge effort relaunching it after it being closed a while. The cafe has the same decor as be

Absolute banger, forgot to take a pic first. The burger overly satisfied my hungry little stomach! Chips were amazing and the staff are friendly and accommodating! Top tier service and food! Definitely coming back!
Fantastic service and food. Under new management. I went with my kids and we all had amazing English breakfasts. My youngest daughter had a lovely egg sarny on a huge stottie too!
Sweetest lady served us and food was excellent. Would definitely come back if in the area again. Self service and speedy delivery.
Generous servings for breakfast, great and friendly service. A cozy place to enjoy a nice brunch on a Sat/Sun morning. The coffee is some of the best we've had in the UK.
Really delicious full English breakfast and great value for money
never had a disappointing meal here! the breakfast is amazing, the tea is lush, the cakes are worth the extra 30 mins in the gym! staff are friendly, i warn you to wear "comfy pants" as you will be stuffed in a very good way!
Beautiful and nice place with a brilliant breakfast selection and the food quality to go with it. Price was on point. Service was quick and the atmosphere friendly. Only slight issue which is not the fault of the cafe is the parking is awful.
This cafe is now under new management. Visited for a spot of breakfast. Food is cooked to order, all fresh, so don't expect instant service. Lovely host, very friendly.
Been meaning to try this place for ages because I've heard good things and it always looks nice when I've passed. We were not disappointed. It was quiet but very welcoming, clean but cosy, a really pleasant vibe and the food was good quality fresh upmarket tasty cafe fayre. Coffee was quality as wel
Lovely lunch with some tasty and unusual specials. Eldest daughter had duck egg omelette with ratatouille. Generous portion and very tasty. Youngest had a cheese and ham toastie which was gobbled up too. Cakes delicious as well. Will be back...
Thyme Square is my all time favourite place to meet up for breakfast with my friend. The quality of the food is outstanding and its fantastic value for money. Well worth the short walk from Gosforth High Street. Not only is the food amazing but the customer service is great unlike other venues. I'm
Driving on the A1, we googled breakfast and discovered Thyme Square … what an amazing find! Warm, friendly welcome and great food. Well worth taking time out of the journey for!
What a lovely little cafe. The food was delicious and staff so friendly. I went on my own and felt very welcome. The owner Paul was a delight to meet and what a great chef he was too. Nothing was a problem every thing cooked to order and just how you would like it. Fresh crispy salad with chicken I
Sprog5 and his beloved brought me here in the summer. I'm up for their engagement party, starting just around the corner. Been looking forward to this breakfast for weeks. Not disappointed!
I have visited on a number of occasions and never been disappointed yet. I often eat the breakfasts and these are not only voluminous but also of the very highest quality. If asked where are best places to eat lunch or breakfast in the North East I would certainly say that Thyme Square must be one
