First time visiting, the staff were so lovely and the service was really quick. The food was impeccable, the restaurant and toilets were both sparkling. Lovely atmosphere and the portions were more than generous! Would visit Newcastle again just to visit this restaurant, will visit again in a heartbeat! The belly pork and black pudding starter was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life!

Have been going to prima for years. Service and food are good and restaurant is clean. It can be packed during peak hours. The menu have been predominantly the same over a good few years now, apart from the price, which has increase on a yearly basis. It used to be affordable and a steal during happy hour. With the introduction of mandatory service charge and price hike, I wouldn't be going on much often.

Ordered a blackcurrant and lemonade on arrival, as I was driving, and it arrived promptly. On recommendation, I ordered Rigatoni Genovese. Which is Cajun chicken, sun dried tomato pesto, cream. It was served with minimal wait and was a good-sized serving. The chicken pieces were tender, moist, and plenty of them too. I hadn't been here for several years and I was very pleased with my visit. Hopefully a return visit won't be too far off.

Loved the food, service, decor & ambience. Especially loved sitting in the room under the railway arches! Risotto, pizza & steak were all great. Would definitely recommend a trip to this place. Lost a star as it is quite pricey but the quality is excellent. Thanks for a lovely dinner :-)

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to! The food was incredible, I’ll let you judge from the pictures but honestly, just wow! The food came quickly and the staff were lovely. Coming up from the south it was very, very fairly priced, think it was £115 for 6 drinks (including 2 cocktails) 4 starters and 5 mains which is just fantastic. Next time I’m in newcastle I will be making a conscious effort to get back to Prima.

We came here for a leaving do and the staff catered to our every need. The venue is much larger than we anticipated which was a nice surprise. We dined under the bridge and everyone ordered mains and cocktails. We were delighted with the 2-4-1 offer on the cocktails and I would recommend the Watermelon Twist! The food was lovely and reasonably priced too. We would definitely recommend and will be returning soon.

Enjoyed the night. Very expensive. Ladies toilets no loo roll at all in the place until we informed staff.

This place was AWESOME. From the moment I walked in I was impressed, it was everything you want from a good Italian restaurant. Paulo greeted us with a cracking charm and flair and introduced us to the pizza chef who was working her magic with a cracking pizza oven. The menu choices were spot on and they had a nice IPA on tap which we both ended up having. The pizzas were simply the best we've had - I'm talking better than what we've had in Italy and New York! It was a nice atmosphere, the staff were all attentive and professional, it was clean and well presented inside. We'll definitely be back to Prima, probably quite soon!!

Walk-in on a Thursday early evening. Seated straight away under the arch. Drinks and order taken pretty quickly and not too long to wait for them to be served either. Food really good, though at £25 per head including drinks and (pre-added) tip a bit more expensive. Downsides were the background music being too loud and the cigarette smoke drifting through from outside.

Food amazing. Getting showed to our table when manager stopped us and told us no you can't sit in there. Then let next 3 tables go through. They hadn't booked either. For him to dance and slyly laugh at us . Rest of staff were wonderful though

A very friendly and trendy looking Italian in Newcastle, offering a variety of meals. The atmosphere inside Prima is amazing, the staff are attentive and helpful, and the food is lovely. We ordered a starter and it was so huge we really should have left it at that! However we also ordered a main which was lovely. Prima restaurant do happy hour from 12-5 on Saturday which prices the majority of meals as £7 - definitely worth it!

Had a Just Eat delivery from here, arrived on time, well packaged and everything was still hot! The spicy king prawn arabbiatta was heavenly, very nice taste and a good amount for a starter! Well i havent had a steak delivery before.. well this was cooked to perfection..10oz rump steak with peppercorn sauce was exelent exactly what i was looking for, very delicious indeed! I also got a tomato red onion and rocket salad too, there was loads and the balsamic dressing was lovely.. mmm. As for my chips, bit of a let down tbh.. soggy and overcooked! I would defo order this again minus the chips 👌👍😁

Excellent ! Took ages to get our drinks but the food was insane. High quality and tasted beautiful. Only thing that I was a little unnerved about was how close the tables were together but I guess that's my personal issue.
