Lovely friendly staff. Attended a comedy night here. The upstairs is great and quite quirky. Downstairs has plenty of seating and you get served quickly at the bar.
First time visit (long delayed), decent bar on ground floor level, then it's down some stairs to the actual comedy club, with another bar there also. This does not stay open when the acts are on so order a few in! Pleasant welcoming staff, good range of acts on, well worth a visit for a chuckle or 1
We absolutely love coming to The Stand, it’s a great night out. We learnt the hard way to research what acts are on for the tickets you book, as we have been let down once as we just simply didn’t find the comedians funny. However, most of the times we’ve visited we’ve had such a great laugh and wal
Small venue, nice and cosy, bar upstairs, very cheap. 50p for a pint of lime and soda. You go downstairs to watch the acts, bar downstairs, is more expensive. No disabled toilet downstairs. That i could, see. Only upstairs. Which is used by all customers. Staff are very friendly. A great place to vis
I booked a couple of tickets for Red Raw and they were such great value. A night of great comedy for a fiver! The acts were great, there was a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks and the staff were very friendly. The only thing I wasn't keen on was how crammed some of the seating was, as it made
First time we have been and it was a blast. Nice venue with plenty of seating. Tip get there early for big or popular acts to get yourself a seat at the front. Nice atmosphere, very well priced. Enjoyed our night out. Thank you :)
Lovely little venue for comedy. Great acts every time we've been and agood selection of beer. We did encounter a couple with the mindset of 'we got here first so we get to take up the space of 8 people on the front bench'. But luckily a lovely couple next to them moved along so we could get a seat
The stand offers local and upcoming comedians a place to shine. Their Wednesday red raw is great value at only £5 with acts starting at 8pm-10:30ish. I would recommend getting down there a little earlier than this to get a good sets as it often fills up very quickly. Reasonably priced food and drink
Another excellent experience seeing Sarah Millican's work in progress show. As always great venue, great staff and decent beer on the bar. Hopefully cask ale might come back but there are good keg and canned alternatives
Always a great time here. Great comedy and acts. Good bar service with a decent selection of drinks - they do tend to sell their own variety of beer rather than known brands which could be improved on. I'd rather have a decent pint than a Comedy Club Lager. Loaded Fries before the show are outstandi
