was recently in newcastle for a wedding and spent the night before out in town. we tried a few restaurants that were all booked up and ended up in simply greek.

We had booked a table for 5pm to get food before a gig. I was so pleased to see my favourite Kleftiko on the menu and had that. The lamb was lovely and tender. It came with plenty veg. I had a glass of house red which was also nice.
Went here today with my partner 2 course for £10 or 3 course for £15 it was lovely and very friendly staff. I had stuffed vine leaves my partner had grilled halloumi then 2 chicken souvlaki skewers and a baklava to share
Small Greek restaurant on Bigg Market in Newcastle. Service and food was good. We arrived around 8.30 pm on a Tues eve so wasn’t too busy. Service was prompt. Only negative was a pita bread overload.
Decided to call in for some food while out in Newcastle for a few drinks. It was amazing. Service was great, food even better. Really generous portions, brought back plenty of Greek holiday memories. Loved it
Delicious greek dishes to choose, nice coffee and great dessert. Service is lovely as well. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

First time I've visited here, don't know why I left it so long! Was lovely, staff friendly and helpful, I ordered a mix grill which I struggled to finish, live greek music too pumping out, very enjoyable evening meal.

Simply Greek has moved, just across the road, into a more modern building. It has lost a lot of the atmosphere and feels more like a cafe with the full plate windows. The food was OK (the "restaurant week " menu was limited) and service was good.
Great lunch, and clearly very popular. Food was fantastic. We were unable to book a table due to expansion of their premises, so had to sit outside for our working lunch. That said, I imagine only a temporary blip.
We would definitely go again.
