The hangover crumpet is something special. I’ve been for many of the classic breakfasts places in Newcastle and this is easily my favourite so far. The cakes are phenomenal too.
Lovely cosy place! They were incredibly responsive and accommodating of my odd plant based requests 😆 the menu offered two plant based options for breakfast: the now traditional avocado toast and a breakfast that can be adapted to plant based. No scrambled tofu or the likes but still great experienc
Best service ever! The Japanese Tempura Cod stands on its own as an established entity. I’ve nothing to fault but I want to note that I’ll be back soon .
Called in on an impromptu trip. Very busy before Christmas, still the staff were friendly, welcoming, happy and attentive. Service was great throughout. I had breakfast (Turkish eggs with steak..) which was amazing. I can’t fault the experience, service or the food. Worth a detour for!!

An incredibly reliable spot for breakfast! Staff are always super friendly, service is quick and food never disappoints! They also have a cracking display of sweet treats, cakes and brownies for those who love to indulge in the naughtiness!
Came here for a NYE meal with my boyfriend. We had the bread to start, both had the burger and a few cocktails, and took a cake each home. It was our first time at Arlo and we will def be back! The food was so fresh and delicious, it was really cute inside and all the staff were really friendly and
My husband and I were staying at Jesmond Dene House and decided to go for a wander. This place does the most amazing Chocolate brownies… I hadn’t been since it’s been renovated and it’s fab inside! We only popped in to get a brownie to takeaway.. but the lovely gent persuaded us (easily) to stay for
I went for breakfast with my daughter and her boyfriend. Myself and my daughter ordered the Giant Hangover Crumpet and the boyfriend ordered a Full English Breakfast. Also ordered 2 bottles of Ginger Beer and a bottle of Diet Coke. Everything came swiftly and I can honestly say if there's a better b
Easily one of the best brunch spots in Newcastle. Super casual dining attracting everyone from students after a hangover cure to business lunches. Food options and quality is outstanding and is only outshone by the service.
