My local, staff are so lovely, chatty and accommodating. Food is always nice and hot as well as good sized portions - hope it stays this way, the decor has been the same for years but suits the location and style of the building, clean area and great atmosphere, will be back again 😆
Love a pub that has live bands on. The drinks are average priced for a pub. The staff are always lovely and friendly, and serve you quickly. Always enjoy our nights there.
First visit today for lunch. Place was very busy, and upbeat. A decent menu, quite varied , my dining partner and I plumped for the unsociable combo ,butterfly chicken breast with prawns in a creamy garlic sauce. Staff were very pleasant and helpful . Reasonable prices too. I would return.
A wet day for a 10 mile sponsored walk, stopped for a pint and to rest our legs. Service great, staff pleasant, and sofas were far too comfy to get up and get going again!! 😀
Had a fabulous lunch today for 4 people. We all had something different from the menu and the food arrived at the same time, piping hot and very generous portions that tasted delicious! Washed down with a great selection of wine, beer and gin! Fabulous value for money and no compromise on quality of
Absolutely fabulous food & service as always
Great food and atmosphere. Mom got sick and they refunded the meal.....she was sick before she ate in case you worry.
Wot a beautiful place to spend the day. Fabulous atmosphere. The food is amazing 5 *****, prices very good. Staff friendly. Lovely outdoor seating when hot. Clean. Well priced. Would definitely recommend.
Food is always delicious. Staff always friendly. Great quality food that's not overpriced. Wish we had a pub like it near us. But 4 visits a year will have to do for now.
Amazing Sunday lunch roast beef was delicious good portion lovely staff best book though we got there 11.50 and Que was about 30 deep my partner wasn't too impressed with his large meal wasn't happy I had more roasties than him lol definitely be back😍
Very nice meal as usual, although portions are shrinking a little, but this seems to be a general theme everywhere due to rising costs. The four lamb cutlets that used to be on the menu are now a 'trio', but the pub is very accommodating and will pan fry them on request instead of flame grilling. It
Lovely staff and great food. Homely and with a good atmosphere. The only thing I'd wish for would be more variety of chicken/pork dishes but the existing ones are very good. I just happen to not eat beef and I'd love to return more often.
Lovely seating in the large conservatory. Prompt friendly service. The food was excellent and the portion size was very good. A very pleasant experience for all (14 people.
Stopped off on way to Newcastle airport for a quick bite to eat. Was well worth it. Recommended and will def be back if flying from Newcastle again. Looks as if provides loads of entertainment as there was live music advertised for upcoming events. Nice atmosphere.
Food plentiful and tasty as usual. And praise where it’s due; a (we think) new, young lady working the last couple of times we’ve been in, a lovely staff member who was attentive and very friendly, a definite asset to the team!
Lovely food but 2 of us had a chicken dish which was cold and we ended up with a bad stomach and diarrhea! Everyone else enjoyed theirs with no problems.
My Husband and I both had the Mince and Dumplings meal for lunch, it was absolutely delicious, well cooked and full of flavour, very speedy service, staff friendly, lovely pub, will definitely be back,
