Found this place by accident whilst looking for somewhere to eat, and whilst not usually a fan of smoked meats, thought we would try it out. There were minor things which could be improved with our meals, but all personal taste quirks that anything wrong with them. Overall easily 8/10 for the whole experience. It was a Monday lunchtime, so fairly quiet period. Friendly service, staff keeping check on us throughout. Starters were served quickly, and mains were nicely spaced from when we had finished our starters, which is always a plus!

Excellent service. The man serving us was really helpful he made sure he gave us time time to look at the menu and kept checking in on us. We had booked so were straight in, but the place was pretty quiet then anyway. Food was amazing. Some things were sold out but we were told straight away. The meal I had was meant to have brisket on, one of the things that wasntt available, but he sorted that so I got extra pulled pork instead. The milkshake and cocktail I had were lush too! It's a great setting. Friendly. And the food is great. Just make sure you're hungry as it's very filling!

A pretty good BBQ experience for the UK... The brisket was good (although I could always do with more!) the jalapeno and cheese sausage was pleasantly spicy (although purists will decry the cheese in sausage trend that is happening here and in American BBQ). The burnt ends were a little chewier than I'd prefer, but are basically just little bits of meaty BBQ sweets! Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!

The staff were good, helpful with explaining the menu and drinks. The food was nice. Think that the tables could be laid out better. I lost count of how many times a member of staff or customer bumped into me. We would come back, but it's not the best BBQ restaurant in Newcastle.

Group of 4 of us landed in, great quick service. Informed of a excellent deal on cocktails which we availed of. Good portions and a authentic barbecue flavour throughout. Very reasonable too.

Absolutely fantastic food and service! We ordered the Feast For 2 and it was on our table within 10 minutes. The meat was very tender and the sides were fresh - exactly what was on our minds. Dan was our server and he made us feel welcome straight away. Highly recommend giving this place a go if you’re on a meat kick!

Awesome as per usual. I had the pitmaster tray and the wife had the doughnut burger. I wasnt keen on the jalepeno sausage and they swapped it for a little chicken. The little one had her first Reds meal and was free too! Great food and great understandable staff. Will be going back again!

I have been several times since opening, most recently on the 18th for Father’s Day so that we could get The Almighty (!). It definitely did not disappoint, the steak was tender and easy to eat in sandwich form - the seasoning and flavors and bourbon bacon jam was awesome. The halloumi fries were also tasty, nice and crisp and went well with the cheeseburger dipping sauce. It’s always an enjoyable experience at Red’s!

Food is really good but prices are a bit high. £9 for a cocktail, £19 for the larger tray of meats

I like the burgers. The bairns like the Mac n Cheese and hot dogs. The South Carolina BBQ sauce is also worth a try

Staff great especially Becca. Went with the family . Starters as the Belly Pork and Deep fried squid and main course was Pit Burgers and Burnt beef with a side of bacon greens. Tasty but a bit overpriced. I didn't really like the Key Lime pie. Thought the topping was meringue it was more marshmallow. Family had the toffee apple pie and brownie which the liked. It was nice but a little expensive

Not the best bbq restaurant around but it is certainly worth a visit and is probably the best value for money. Been a couple of times and would certainly go again .
