Does a job. And a bit more Good range of cask and a couple of craft. Very footy focused. So if you like good beer and footy. Go here.
A perfect bar with a stunning interior. Loved the chairs felt rather like a throne haha. Ale suits my life Semi organised Chaos lol. Loved the crisps. Staff, friendly, polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Very clean. Toilets very smart although I did worry I had turned into a vampire lol. Highl
Be going here for 40 years now and the pub me and friends have all changed but still a good bar for a beer and to watch some rugby
Disappointingly quiet on our last visit (late Friday night) but excellent service beer as ever.
Old crowd pub, but good to have a chat even if it's a bus saturday evening with a rugby match on, unlike most of the other acoustic-deficient pubs in Grainger Town. Giving cruise ship bar vibes.
Passed here for ever ...I mean ever Thought must pop in here .. Finally got in and it's really nice ...like a fine old ship 🚢 😍 ..which it's based on .. Don't know if it does food ...but 2 packets of crisps was 3 .60 🤑😱 Nice selection of beers 🍻
Great "traditional" pub in the heart of the City Centre. Friendly staff. I was a bit shocked at paying £9.40 for 2 beers, but it has been a long time since I went out in the town. It might make a great Weatherspoons, as it was a right hike to the bogs.
Beer very good staff fine and helpful at least they don't shut the place at nine because it's Sunday
Staff are polite and professional good choice of drinks and plenty of places to sit. Very reasonably priced and is a good place to watch sports as there are plenty of screens and the staff are accommodating if there's something you want to watch. I'd definitely recommend this place.
Quiet bar with interesting interia, great selection of beers with friendly staff.
Great bar, very good real ale selection.
Good choice of real ales served reasonably well, but the bar had no atmosphere
City centre boozer with big screens, central bar and good selection of beers. Toilets hidden away upstairs. Mixture of post work, pre match and all day drinks crowds. Handy for a quick pint before the next event. Not great for views of anything much. Worth a visit.
Great bar located on a side street off Grainger St. Good variety of draught beers. Can be difficult to find a seat during busy times, although there are plenty of bar stools.
Great pub, always a favourite of mine. Good range of beers. I just wish they'd turn the sound down a bit. You have to shout to your mates instead of chatting to them, which is the surely point of a pub.
Real ale has taken a tumble. Less choice and back to the bigger brewers. Staff change to frequently, current crop aren't great
