Have always loved this pub .. ever since I was in my late teens till now (I’m 54 🤣🍻) .. this has a great mix of people and no matter the day or time you come in the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly .. the bar staff are characters too and are very funny when you get to know them!
Beautifully inexpensive alcohol served by classy knowledgeable staff, the locals were great craic and made us feel really welcome, the best bar I've been to in years, great for an early pint 🍺💥
The only reason I knocked a star off was due to the amount of choice on the treble offer. Staff where fantastic it was really busy not too much if a seating area but this cannot be helped because of the shape and size of pub.
Great meeting place because of its location, and it's a popular well-known bar, so you will have no problem getting directions. Proper old style pub with great friendly atmosphere and staff.
Great little pub in the heart of Newcastle that served a great pint of Guinness. The barmaid was so nice and when she found out we were visiting from Ireland she made little shamrocks in our Guinness. The bar had a buzzing atmosphere but still very much friendly and welcoming vibe. Will be back agai

A popular local pub. Lots of people in to watch the horse racing. Wide range of drinks available. Prices very good too.
Visited for the first time in my life at Christmas. Much better than I imagined!
