Food always lovely and a decent price too. Staff are friendly and good atmosphere (1950s -60s music playing) Would recommend this place. Ice creams look nice and a good range of vegetarian options.
I visited on the 4th of May and lovely Sarah served me with a happy face and information on how to get back to my hotel I had a wonderful bacon sandwich with a good cuppa I only wish I had room for all the wonderful looking cakes and ice cream well worth a visit
You can order various items of food, from hot meals, coffee and various cakes, delicious icecreams (allthough the icecteam is not home made by the taste of it) Staff works very hard and is Friesland and correct. The whole atmosphere is typical nostalgic English like in the seventies
Been coming here for a cooked breakfast for last two years....today however it wasn't as nice as it has been in past, the sausages tasted as if perfume was in them...so my pic of my breakfast was minus the beans...they do however have a good selection of cakes, sandwiches and ice cream.
Trip down memory lane today to impress my friend with a " real ice cream parlour" that has remain steadfast for at least around 59 years Still beautiful ambience excellent food and presentation and service friendly knowledgeable and first class. Please support these two little gems We visited Grain
Popped in for a breakfast, went for the standard for £6.50. Staff were very friendly and service was really quick. Food was enjoyable, I prefer sausages that have a bit more texture to them but having said that there was nothing wrong withe the one served. The staff were very good at helping wheelch
The food comes very quickly and the ice cream flavours are emacutate and the food portions are massive for the price I would reccomed they have a bunch of vegan and vegetarian options so it's for everyone
As soon as you wlak in you know youve come to the right place, the menu has everything you could want. Had an epic breakfast icecream waffle, which was delicious. The staff were super friendly, atmosphere is a bit dated but perfect for the atmosphere of the place. Really relaxing and delicious fo
It's nice to have old school place to get proper Sundays ice-creams, we had knickerbocker Glory and Strawberry supreme really nice but pricey at £6.25 each, but nice experience compared to modern ice cream parlours.
I love Mark Toney's and have been going since I was a kid. I have been following the same tradition with my kids and they love the Sunday's as well.
Mark Toney is a lovely little spot for breakfast that heralds a simpler time of shiny diners and a generous menu of perennial favourites. I had a simple but delicious egg roll that boasted eggs that were fried to perfection, runny yolks and an oh-so-soft bun to mop up all of that gooey goodness. Co
This one is a special gem! Love the vegetarian breakfast, the friendly staffs, the delicious soup, the cozy atmosphere.... Felt like I had travelled through time. 😊😉
A little nirvana in the city centre. They do coffee but really it's where you go for a nice cup of tea and sit down. A traditional cafe rather than Costa or Starbucks (if anyone has had worse tea than Costa I'd love to know how). All the food is great apart from the burger. The ice cream is fantast
Got the pistachio and raspberry stracciatella ice cream. Both were amazing. Best pistachio ice cream I've had in awhile. Highly recommend!
the best place in town for ice cream. staff are always friendly and happy to help, and there's always a load of different flavours to choose from. it's made even better by being on the "eat out to help out" scheme. highly recommend!
