You can order various items of food, from hot meals, coffee and various cakes, delicious icecreams (allthough the icecteam is not home made by the taste of it)
Staff works very hard and is Friesland and correct. The whole atmosphere is typical nostalgic English like in the seventies

A little nirvana in the city centre. They do coffee but really it's where you go for a nice cup of tea and sit down. A traditional cafe rather than Costa or Starbucks (if anyone has had worse tea than Costa I'd love to know how). All the food is great apart from the burger. The ice cream is fantastic, the bacon sandwich is better than Gregg's (I like Gregg's breakfast a lot). The staff are all brilliant and have been working there for years, which in this day and age is an oddity. Having been a customer since I was a small child on trips to town with my grandma I can't praise it enough, it is a traditional cafe offering traditional cafe foods. Update:really cheap and still fantastic tea and a bacon and egg sandwich just over 3 pound

What's not to love about having a cuppa and food here. Best puddings, cakes and ice-cream sundaes. A good selection on the savory menu as well . The staff are fab, even when they're really busy.

Been coming here for a cooked breakfast for last two years....today however it wasn't as nice as it has been in past, the sausages tasted as if perfume was in them...so my pic of my breakfast was minus the beans...they do however have a good selection of cakes, sandwiches and ice cream.

As soon as you wlak in you know youve come to the right place, the menu has everything you could want. Had an epic breakfast icecream waffle, which was delicious. The staff were super friendly, atmosphere is a bit dated but perfect for the atmosphere of the place. Really relaxing and delicious food.

Got the pistachio and raspberry stracciatella ice cream. Both were amazing. Best pistachio ice cream I've had in awhile. Highly recommend!

Popped in for a breakfast, went for the standard for £6.50. Staff were very friendly and service was really quick. Food was enjoyable, I prefer sausages that have a bit more texture to them but having said that there was nothing wrong withe the one served.
The staff were very good at helping wheelchair users in and out and rearranged chairs for them as well.
Property is on 3 levels withe toilet facilities downstairs, I didn't see a lift or ramp to the lower level though.
Would definitely go back if in the area again.

Delicious ice cream on a waffle cone for a great price! The cherry and chocolate stracciatella was delectable. I highly recommend for an afternoon snack after exploring the city.

I'm visiting the area for a week and have been multiple times. The price you pay for the portion is a steal, and the quality is fantastic too. I strongly recommend anyone take a swing in, it's worth your while.

Mark Toney is a lovely little spot for breakfast that heralds a simpler time of shiny diners and a generous menu of perennial favourites. I had a simple but delicious egg roll that boasted eggs that were fried to perfection, runny yolks and an oh-so-soft bun to mop up all of that gooey goodness.
Come with an empty stomach and leave with a full heart.

It's nice to have old school place to get proper Sundays ice-creams, we had knickerbocker Glory and Strawberry supreme really nice but pricey at £6.25 each, but nice experience compared to modern ice cream parlours.

Went here for breakfast today and had a full English. Cannot complain about it one bit.
Everything was cooked to perfection.
Had a pot of tea with the full English and it was a very good tea.
Also very reasonably priced considering the location!

I love going to Mark Toneys! I usually go to Grainger Street but also sometimes use the one in the Grainger Market or Percy Street. They always cook my bacon just the way I like it. The staff are lovely, always polite and friendly.

My 6 year old son had a fantastic time at his Ice-Cream Party at the Grainger Street parlour. Sara and Jo were fantastic and really looked after us. The kids has the best time making their own sundaes from all the lovely ice-creams and toppings. I think three each was the record.....!! Thanks for a great afternoon. x
