The best pub we visited on this 4 day trip to Newcastle. We were visiting the UK for 17 days and took a trip up to Newcastle to visit a cousin. Stewart took us to his favorite spots and this one did not disappoint. I had a third pint of the Overnight Oats (9.5%). It was a small hike to get here
Great and busy bar on the Ouseburn pub trail. Fantastic selection of real ale, friendly helpful staff and a quirky building full of character. Pretty much everything you could want for a drinking establishment really. Another bonus was the amazing view across the time from the small side window we w
We have seen this pub from a distance for years but have never been. Decent weather allowed us to make the walk and we found a quite brilliant pub. The staff were very friendly, the beer was excellent and well kept. Next time in Newcastle we will return. Highly recommended.

Where do you start to describe the most perfect pub there could possibly be❓ I’m the only customer in and spoilt for choice selecting a beer whether it be cask or craft, many of which are sourced locally. The regulars are so lucky to have Jarl as a constant choice. Views are absolutely stunning look
Just a fab pub. Wonderful beer and a friendly welcoming atmosphere. And amazing views up the River Tyne towards Newcastle quayside and the famous bridges.
Excellent Newcastle pub overlooking the Tyne in Byker. Six cask ales on handpump when I last visited including a porter and a stout. Lots of outdoor seating with marvellous views of the Tyne bridges and Newcastle and Gateshead quaysides. Fantastic free jukebox and friendly staff. What more could you
Class pints, class view, class pub. Nothing more you need really. Lovely warm environment and always a good choice on tap.
A proper little independent pub with the best views of the Tyne, the gateshead eye, and a geordie sunset. The staff are knowledgeable about the different beers, stouts, and ciders. The pub itself doesn't provide food but they regularly have food truck nights.
Best view of the bridges, best jukebox( almost ever!) really good range of beer and cider. Suntrap beer garden too
