Little India - Newcastle upon Tyne - Photo album

Went last night with the family. Second time for me. The food is excellent and the staff are really friendly. Also some of us were vegetarian and there are a great range of veggie options, particularly starters. I would say it is one of a small number of truly good Indian restaurants in Newcastle.
Don’t know what the first reviewer is talking about, now been 3 times, 2 sit down meals and 1takeaway and all have been delicious. Service very pleasant and helpful, restaurant has been busy with excellent ambience. I’ve been working my way through the Punjabi specialities, 2 chicken and 1 lamb dish
Great, delicious and flavoursome food. Extensive menu filled with an array of delightful curries, chicken and fish dishes. There is an ample selction of side dishes too, the naans are incredibly light! The service is second to none - staff are incredibly warm, gracious, hospitable and knowledgeable.
Thought I would give it a try as I was highly recommended to go by both my brother and mother so knew it must be decent. Little India certainly didn’t disappoint, excellent friendly staff (even though I was just picking up a takeaway) and the food was delicious. Best Indian food I’ve had in a long t
I love this place. It is a family owned Indian restaurant and is very friendly. The food is fantastic. You can get naan bread to share, which must be at least 18 inches long, and comes on a big stand that sits in the middle of the table. I got a mild dish, Chicken Labrador, I think it was called. It
Certainly the best Indian meal I have eaten in Newcastle, and one of the most enjoyable I have eaten anywhere. Four of us shared beautifully cooked mixed kebab and pakora starters followed by a great selection of curries. All the food tasted like it had been cooked fresh, with no generic flavours to
Little India is a small restaurant tucked in the middle of a residential area in gosforth. The staff members were extremely friendly! We ordered a curry each (bhunau and Hadi gosht) and both were way beyond our expectations, they were absolutely delicious! The naan bread was beautifully presented, a
Very, very tasty food.We had chicken madras which was super hot & spicy and lamb jalfrezi equally spicy, pleasantly hot, accompanied by pershawri and garlic man breads / both humongous and perfectly cooked. Extremely friendly staff, all family and pleased to welcome you with open arms. Nice, cosy res
Enjoyed this place. Madras was hot (chilli hot) which I like, but would have preferred a bit more or a flavoursome spice. Staff were great and attentive, place was cosy and clean. Not sure if they do special offers but the price was about average for the type of restaurant. Would come again
Amazing food! Really authentic Indian cuisine, staff members are so friendly. Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in Newcastle Now a place we visit regularly(:
Got a takeaway meal from here for the first time. The lad in the restaurant was very friendly and chucked in a couple of poppadoms as I had a slight wait for my food. The bhuna and madras were both excellent and the naans tasted very fresh - I will be back for sure.
Recently moved into the area and so pleased to have found this place. Food was delicious.. had the balti and if had the perfect amount of kick. Naan was huge. Poppadoms good. And was surprised by the very reasonable price when the bill arrived. Will be back.
Family run place which gave it a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Service was excellent and the food ok. I describe food as ok because, because they just needed a little more seasoning, salt, for it to become very good. However I have already recommended it to 2 friends.
Friendly staff & competitive prices. Madras lacked depth of flavour and no layers of spice. Chips were not home made which was disappointing. Will return at some point and try a different dish.
