The Sunday roast is nice, like this big plate of pork a lot, the meat is tender and tasty.
Good atmosphere, it get crowded soon after lunch so better arrive sharp at 12nn(the opening time) to be sure you can get seats for the lunch : )

We had a small room off the bar for 8 of us for Sunday lunch. The food was lovely, presented well and was hot and tasty, including the vegetarian option. The service was great, very responsive without being over attentive, excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend.

Great tasting Sunday lunch, and good selection of beers 🍻

We hosted my sister's baby shower in the Secret Cinema Room yesterday. Brilliant venue, excellent service and really helpful assistance when booking / organising. Would definitely use this venue again.

Went here with my parents when they came to visit me at uni. Lovely vibe and the food was delicious. Me and my mom had the haddock and my dad the steak which were generous portions. Dog friendly aswell!

I visited here for Sunday lunch and was served by the very lovely Lauren. I had booked for 3 in total. 2 support workers and an Autistic Adult. Wow she made our party feel very relaxed and our lunch was absolutely scrummy. We will be back for sure. Thank you.

A bit dark, but we sat at a table near window. Only went by chance, great beer, very friendly staff and decided to have a steak. Only a basic one, but cooked to perfection

One of the best pubs around Central Station. Great selection of real ales and the food is very good for pub grub

Cracking pints of Guinness , if you’re after a pint in the toon this is the place to go , Barman Mikey or Micky is a gent and knows his stuff when it comes to pouring a nice pint of stout, even though he was off the clock he served us a couple pints and delivered to table he’s a credit to the place.

Probably a typical standing city centre pub. Had a 60th birthday meet up in the basement bar during the day so no atmosphere, no music just bar service. Probably not the best venue for that occasion.
Geordie Lumsden
Popped in for a pint before going for the bus home on a Saturday night. Not too crowded but liverly enough. The staff were nice, I will definitely pop in again when I'm passing.
Phil Burton
Dog friendly.
Love this bar! Class joint. Really smart inside, great staff and draught samples a plenty to assist in choosing the perfect pint for you.
Huge sofas to collapse into after a busy day shopping/on the sauce.
Great place. Will definitely be returning next time we’re in Newcastle.
Part of the Wylam brewery chain of bars.

Brilliant service thanks to all the staff.
Good place to hire a room + buffet.

Went with family expecting good things and was extremely disappointed. Fish chips and mushy peas. The mushy peas didn’t arrive the staff knew and no effort to deliver them till too late. The triple cooked chips with all 4 meals were cooked to scrantions and the excuse was that they are sometimes a bit off. Again no offer of change. The fish was ok and the chicken burgers ok. The fish finger sandwich on the menu didn’t indicate salmon in there but there was and would have ordered something else had we known. Pretty obvious by what was left that it was a poor meal and no concern at all from staff even when told. Would not at all recommend the food in here.

Visiting from New Zealand to see my family and my brother brought me here for lunch. The meat sharing platter was to die for- delicious!
Sarah Hammal
Very kid friendly even though not designed for kids. Totally accommodating and super helpful. Cannot rate them enough!

Very friendly and helpful staff.
Good food and relaxing music, ideal for a Sunday hangover.

We hired The Cinema Room downstairs for an engagement party for about 50 guests. It was perfect. A great venue. Food was amazing (and the day after everyone was still raving about how good it was). The barman was fantastic. Nothing was a bother. All in all a great night. The Town Wall has always been a fave bar of ours, and even more so now!

Lovely meal best fish I have had in a long time also my son really enjoyed his steak.
First class thank you.

My son reserved the little side room for his birthday last night. It's a nice pub and the drinks prices ok but the star of the show was the buffet which was just gorgeous, especially the scotch eggs and sausage rolls. Not your standard selection, lovely filled wraps, chicken korma skewers, marmite pastry straws, lovely fresh, interesting salad. Fantastic
Paul Naples-Hails
Absolutely beauts menu. Filled a hole and staff lovely!! Sunday Roasts at its best. Be back for sure
Elaine O'Hagan
We were there for a book launch (Lord of the Dead by Richard Rippon) downstairs in the Cinema Room. Couldn't eat there as it was full but had a great time as the bar staff were great and a good selection of drinks. Just need a better PA system for events.
Paul Costigan
big spacious pub good beer good food reasonable prices nice mix of piped music not too loud or intrusive
Peter Ryan
Nice pint of real ale and the food was lovely....shared the platter with the scotch egg
Rachel St
Food wasn't particularly nice, when I complained to the bar staff he just said that was strange as it was his favourite dish on the menu... no apologies or follow up. The biggest issue I had was finding that they store the highchairs next to a toilet... in the disabled cubicle.
Julie Heaton
Nice atmosphere, quick service no matter how busy it is and really good beers. Burgers are well worth a go! We enjoy it every time.
June Wright
Party in the drawing room. Fantastic buffet , was worried there might not be enough but really great thanks
