Lovely selection of pastries and tarts, with great coffee and great service, definitely recommend while hanging around town
If you’re looking for the best cake in Newcastle, you should check out this place! I always dine in, and after I’m done, I take some more to go... I can't help it.
Amazing food hall, ample food choices. Mason and Rye in particular was the one I tried today. Various dessert choices as well as classic pastries like croissant, pain au chocolat. I got the mandarin orange dessert as well as the croissant. Croissant was flakey, not as buttery as i would want it to
Great coffee in spacious cafe, right in the middle of Fenwick Food Hall. Can't fault it. The service is prompt and food look fresh. We only had coffee this time around, and it was good. Will come back to try food next time.

The most amazing food Hall! An amazing array of produce on offer at great prices. I could have bought everything on display to be honest, it all looked amazing!
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous place. Lovely atmosphere. Often go for breakfast on the weekend. Quite pricey but staff are lovely and food is delicious. I'm not a cake person buy the cakes look amazing. They happily make me an iced coffee without milk every time I ask. It is pricey but so worth it.
Located on the bottom floor of Fenwick store, Mason & Rye is a great place to have a coffee and a delicious desert. Although the seating area is not very cosy, the service and quality of food are excellent. One of the best alternatives to Costa, Starbucks & Co. in the city centre.
This lovely man made my Granddaughter's day extra special. I'm so grateful to you, thank you x
Visited on Wednesday...Great selection of salads...mixed grain bowls sandwiches and cakes ...had thick ham and remoulade in fresh baked crusty baguette and a pot of tea (2 mugs worth ) for under £8..absolutely delicious sandwich and good tea ..lovely atmosphere and friendly staff ..treat yourself ..
Found in the food hall at Fenwick. Lovely sarnies and cake for brunch with americanos. Tables were quickly cleared and cleaned.
I can kindly say that it is a wonderful place to eat desserts, cakes, or savory items. Or a simple coffee/tea, absolutely everything with excellent quality. I highly recommend, pleasant service. accessible to go with children.
