bought some stotties and a beef and jalapeño pie. First time in the shop. Totally lovely shop, the lady was really nice. The stotties, eaten the following day were lovely. And the pie... Oh the pie. THE nicest pie I've ever eaten. By a country mile. In every way imaginable. A pie of monumental, wonderful, culinary masterpieceness. I hereby award this Pie Maker an MBE, OBE, knighthood and freedom of the cities of Newcastle, Sunderland, and Freedonia. May you live and peace and loveliness for the rest of eternity, for you have...... |Etc etc.

Pink Lane Bakery is a dream! The staff are super lush and the food is always banging... if you're in need of baked goods, you can not go wrong with this place. It fills me with pizza on most days and I'm very happy with that :)

Omg the salt beef sandwich in a pretzel roll was probably the best sandwich I have ever had will definitely be returning.

I accidentally passed by this bakery and got myself a raspberry crumble and a banana&choco loaf cake. Didn’t expect them to be so amazing!!! The staff who ordered for me was really lovely. I’d love to try more bakery next time!

Wonderful little bakery with lovely staff. Many delicious savoury and sweet options, including dairy free/vegan options. I can highly recommend the whipped goat cheese sandwich (the bread is amazing) and the blueberry danish. Might need to come back to Newcastle just for this place.

We brought a mixed seed sourdough yesterday and it was soooooo good!! We toasted it and had it with scrambled eggs, but had to go back for more. It was even better just buttered! Could have eaten the whole loaf! Looking forward to coming back for more!!

Lovely little independent bakery. The person serving is was lovely and service was quick. Gave us directions to a lovely Chinese garden round the corner to sit and eat in. There was a great selection of freshly baked pastries and they were massive. Proper Yorkshireman portion! Really fair priced considering the size of them too! When you can shake a stick in Newcastle and hit 4 different Gregg's it's nice to put money in an independent bakery. Forgot to take photos as we were famished and ate everything before I remembered! This is an easy 5* and will absolutely return whenever we go back to Newcastle again

Been a regular if not frequent customer for a while, and keep forgetting to leave a review, so here goes: it’s amazing. Honestly, some of the best pastries I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating (and I’ve eaten a lot of pastries), bread is excellent and the pricing offers stupendous value. The danishes are particularly great.

Cute, warm bakery. The sourdough bread was good, but the lye knots were mediocre, not authentic, and the waitress was very friendly.

Superb little bakery! They have so many different pastries and everything we tried was superb (incl. several vegan options). Pricing is v reasonable and the coffee is good too. Will definitely be back when I'm in Newcastle!

Very friendly quick service. All the items in the window are really well labelled with allergens. Great variety of sweet and savoury treats. The coffee is one of the best I have had in a while. Would highly recommend

I worked nearby and for lunch had the steak and ale pie. Which is excellent. Think Greggs steak bake but a posh version. Baked in a lovely shortcrust pastry. They apparently do the pies for the Red House pub on the quayside. So, most of the time they'd have the pies, not impressed that sometimes they hadn't baked enough. It was a 10 minute walk from work. So to get there and find no pies...... I only had half an hour for lunch. They also do a veggie pie. Butternut squash and spinach and something, with a hint of coconut. It ain't steak. Oh. And btw. There's a step up at the bakery door. But I'm sure the staff would be more than happy to help out.

My favourite bakery in the Toon! The quality of their breads, pastries and cakes are top notch. I always enjoy their baked cheesecake, focaccia, banana and chocolate cake and sausage rolls! Can't go wrong with any of these options. The staff are always friendly and super quick with their service as well. Can't recommend this place enough!
