Would bring all of my friends here as a totally beautiful mix of people drink here! The bar staff are amazing, the music is amazing and the food and drinks is also great. Feel positive every time I leave here!!!!
Brilliant bar, welcoming all and offering varied DJ nights, pool table, great home cooked food and a good selection of beers and ales too! Please ignore the bitter reviewers who were discouraged from airing their racist views in and around the pub yesterday. Myself and others drink here REGULARLY!
Went to the tanners arms for Sunday dinner and my God was it delicious. Very generous portion size, plenty of flavour and a good choice of condiments/sauces which come with the meal. The staff were friendly, the pub was clean and the atmosphere was good. I will be returning very soon.. next weekend and probably the one after.
When for Sunday lunch and I’m still thinking about it now. Absolutely outstanding

I came here with my sister & my husband on Sunday without a reservation.
We got told it was fully booked upon arrival by someone who was lovely, but another lovely gent popped out and said he could sit us if we sat by the window.
We then got moved to a more comfy seat as someone was a no show, which was much appreciated.
The staff were so accommodating & the Sunday roast was the best I've ever had (and I'm a hard to please chef 🤣) every part was seasoned and thought of as an individual part and you could really tell. 10/10!
Will definitely be returning with a reservation 🤣🤣

Great Sunday lunch today, first visit but won't be last. Fab melt in mouth roast beef with great selection of freshly cooked trimmings. Both the food and bar service was excellent as was the atmosphere in this comfortable pub. Can't recommend more highly and look FWD to visiting again soon, Many thanks x
I had the triple cheese deluxe delivered. It was barely warm when it arrived so it’s hard to be fair. I expect it’s better eating in.
It was disappointing. The cheese wasn’t properly melted and the flavours were basic. The patties weren’t super smashed so had a bite to them. A triple was too meaty so I’d probably recommend a double or single. The jalapeño relish was chunky and flavourless.
I think the chicken burgers are supposed to be better… i wouldn’t order delivery again
Sunday roast is a must, cooking is excellent and the taste which is very important is awesome, my palate really enjoyed it a lot.🤤 vegetables are perfectly done as well and yes huge serving indeed. Also, theres a wide range of drinks to choose from and with a chilled out atmosphere you will surely enjoy your time. Serving time is around 20min which is quite quick with the food being done with perfection. My only advise is to book you seat in advance

Great local pub in Newcastle.
Visited on a quiet Sunday, didn't have food.
Loads of beers on tap to choose from including their own tanner's ale, very nice it was too.
Full of recycled furniture, arty walls, decent music playing, kinda reminded me of The Waterfront back in the day 😃
Music venue next door which is very popular.
Studenty in the old fashioned way and staff and punters all really friendly.
Would visit again.
Highly recommend the byker fried chicken loaded fries! Extremely tasty and generous portions!
