The venue is nicely tucked away in a little alley way next to a market. The staff are friendly, the quality and variety of cocktails are great. The prices are reasonably. The venue has a good vibe and interesting decor. If your in Newcastle and looking for a good place to get some drinks...here is a good place to start.

Stopped in after work in a week day and really enjoyed the eclectic decorations, the fantastic music choices and the cocktails we chose were delicious. We had been meaning to visit a while ago and now we wish we'd visited sooner.

Been to these kind of places before for bottomless brunch expecting food and getting less than fresh air. Not here though. Huge juicy burger and fries and wasn't waiting forever to be served the next bottle. Great food, great staff, great day. Recommended!!! 🏆

Four of us went for Sunday lunch, we had 3 course's each and all 3 courses were lovely my prawn cocktail with a slice of warm tiger bread was very tasty as was the roast beef dinner with massive Yorkshire pudding and my sticky toffee pudding was fabulous, I would definitely eat here again when visiting Newcastle.

Not my usual venue and I cannot fault. The staff were amazing with helping me for my beer choices and the food was top notch. Definitely be returning!

We had a fantastic experience at No 28! They managed to squeeze us in last minute and were so helpful in advance. Our waiter Sam was incredibly friendly and helpful. It is the best value bottomless I have ever attended - constantly filling up bottles on the table without prompting and delicious food. Will defo be visiting again

The inside of Bar 28 is exquisitely decorated, and the selection of drinks is impressive. The quality of their pints is superb, with a great head and plenty of life. The friendly and helpful staff add to the welcoming atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a night out with family or friends. The tantalizing aroma of their food is a great incentive to sample their cuisine, which I am sure won't disappoint.

Loved the decor but it was way to loud to hold a conversation and too many tables were pre booked

Staff were nice although a little 'patchy' e.g. friendly but didn't know what beers/drinks they have, didn't supply napkins - but hell the food is GREAT! The wings are fall off the bone tender and with a great flavour combo of a tangy wing sauce and a blue cheese dressing with celery - so good.
Fries cooked in beef dripping are very crisp and weren't over done, loaded with generous amounts of parmesan shavings, all the way down. The triple burger.... best burger I've had, a must try, so well put together, and something essentially dead simple but done brilliantly. I'll be back.

Great bar with excellent cocktails that can be modified to your taste if needed.

Great for a comfortable night out. Music from most genre's can be enjoyed as well as themed nights. Open late and has a happy hour till 9pm serving cocktails and a comprehensive choice of beers and ciders.

Without doubt the best bar in the North East.
The combination of the friendly staff exceptional service and outstanding food just make this the perfect venue.
It could be a couple of drinks after work or a private party with friends this place is the only bar I feel comfortable and relaxed in . You'll find a mix of all ages and the best music played at anytime you visit, can you tell yet I love the place. Absolutely fantastic venue thanks as always Paul for the great hospitality from you and the team . See you again soon .

I was totally gearing myself up to have a rant about the lack of vegetarian-ness at this place, but then their paneer burger totally blew me away!
I was already looking forward to the paneer burger after a friend had recommended it, and I was absolutely starving so I thought I'd treat myself to a side or two too. Unfortunately the only veggie side available was fries - that you had to specifically request as veggie so they weren't cooked in beef - so I thought I'd add some extras to my paneer burger (French onions and jalapeño relish). After ordering someone came to tell me that the French onions weren't suitable for vegetarians (also cooked in beef I imagine) so I was just going to have the burger as it came and some fries. I wasn't expecting much but after my first bite I was in love.
The burger was so good! Two huge bits of paneer were wedged in there and the jalapeño relish was delicious. There wasn't any salad on the burger and my fries weren't seasoned at all, but it was still a great burger.
Overall I'm not really sure it's worth the money but it really is tasty so I probably would go again (but ask for salad and seasoning).
Food-wise it's definitely more of a place for the meat eaters but if you're a veggie you have to try the paneer burger. Overall it's a good atmosphere and the quizzes are great fun. Drinks are a little pricey but no more than any other late-night premium bar in town.

Visited yesterday for the burger and processco brunch, it was brilliant, venue great, staff were great and burger and fries were amazing, think my only complaint was that the burger was that nice it melted in my mouth that I didn't actually taste it, so guess I will have to call again to have another burger xxx

Lovely little bar in centre of town (won't be a hidden gem for long). Bar staffvery friendly and helpful. I'm gluten free and will definitely be recommending their burgers - best I've ever had.

Great afternoon with friends, prosecco was free flowing (6 bottles in 2 hours) and the cheeseburger and fries were delicious. Fab setting, friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. Can highly recommend this pub. Great value for money xx

Love the place, love the atmosphere. Best of all love the burgers and the yummy beef dripping chips. Don't change anything. And don't swap the burger buns for those horrible brioche buns.
