Can't recommend this place enough, did the beer tasting session last night and it was fab. Learnt loads and there wasn't a beer that I tried that I didn't like. Will definitely be back soon! Thank Leo for a great night
Been here now on loads of occasions while walking the dog in the Ouseburn Valley. Cracking little place with a lovely vibe. Superb beers brewed on the premises and burgers to die for. The guys who run it are very friendly and hopefully it wiil go from strength to strength and become an established part of the valley scene.
The new location for the legendary "Billy Bootlegger's", absolutely fantastic and can't wait to go back for more, hopefully catch a band in there, fingers crossed for the late licence
Was a little bit tucked out the way, but was a little gem. Great selection of beer, food was solid and the music selection was fab. We sat by the fire pit most of the evening and drank the night away. Worth a visit!
Lively brewpub that shares a space with Indian food outlet Thali Tray next door. You can order food and drink from both places to consume at the same table. Good range of beers on keg, (mainly their own with a guest on my visit) and in the fridge. No cask which is a bit of a shame. If you scan the QR code on tables you can view the menu to be able to see the full range, but order at the bar as occasionally the menu is not fully up to date as to whether something has gone out of stock.
A nice atmosphere inside this pub. We had bottled beers so can't comment on what they serve on tap. There were 2 live music acts on while we were there... Both up our street so that kinda made the day for us.
I was very disappointed in the food though!
To the point I'd suggest it was dangerously undercooked!
I got a double burger (choice was double or triple!). And 1 of the 2 burgers was totally pink inside and both were lukewarm. It came in a basket with chips, which were fine, but the bun was soggy also. I really should have handed it back, but didn't feel like that wud be appreciated by the young staff members. It was only 'lining' grub for us, but at the prices being charged the standard was really poor. Wud never eat here again even though I'll likely visit for the music!
The best beer I've ever tasted is brewed and sold in this awesome little gem in the Ouseburn. Cosy by the fire & enjoy the delicious array of beers brewed by @newcastlebrewing
unfined & unfiltered joy in a glass. Come rain or shine this place is definitely worth a visit.
Great night under the arch. Gorgeous food and great service despite the fact they were ran off their feet. Can't wait to come back
Amazingly homely pub. Great music. Very relaxed. Excellent location under the Byker Bridge - a five minute walk from town. Has a fire outside and blankets!
Fantastic food, tasty vegan options, good drinks and friendly staff. Highly recommended
Very friendly vibe, less manic on a Saturday than other ouseburn venues! Very good selection of beers (as to be expected) but also spirits and wines. Lovely courtyard area, nice relaxing space. Food from thali tray is lush too - very reasonably priced and good portions. Onion bhajis are ridiculously tasty...
What an absolute pleasure
Met an Irish fella called Michael I didn't bring my bank card presuming I could use Google pay. Unfortunately with the current climate it was table app service.
Not only was I served beer but the only way I was was because this kind gentlemen allowed me to transfer some money across to him to pay absolute legend!!!
Without this gesture I wouldn't be able to sample some of the best succulent beers I've had int so especially the rhubarb Ronnie.
Thanks guys absolute pleasure in quite an uncomfortable situation
