I organised my mums 60th birthday afternoon tea. It was gorgeous food, great place and very friendly and accommodating staff. Everyone thought it was one of the best afternoon teas they had ever eaten. The children’s one was perfect too. Have no problems recommending this to anyone. Thanks for making my mum happy on her special birthday.
Wow what a discovery this place is! Such a great atmosphere like home from home. I just went for tea and a meeting today but will definitely be going back soon to sample the food. The menu looked lovely and very reasonable. The service was top notch and very friendly and the background music was perfect.A hidden gem �
Fabulous spot in Killingworth Civic Center: a proper home from home. Emma, who runs it, is fantastic - really friendly and helpful. It's simply a really nice place to go with a lovely atmosphere as well as most excellent coffee and cake. Get yourselves along there if you have opportunity!

Lovely little cafe. Nice coffee and tea and friendly staff. Food good but fruit scone was very small in size compared to other cafes I've visited.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere staff are all lovely.Go once a month for a meet up with friends other times with husband or grandchildren always feel comfortable and always a lovely welcome.Had afternoon tea recently really enjoyed it but even if you just want a cuppa a warm welcome awaits you .
5 star what more needs to be said. My mother in law went every week and today they hosted the after funeral event the amount of care that was done was tremendous and the food was lovely
The staff at Cafe My place are so kind and caring. The refreshments are lovely lots of home baking.They were so kind and thoughtful today catering for our Mams 87th birthday.they even sang Happy Birthday to her.would definitely recommend
Lovely family run cafe, nothing is a bother, food is lovely, great welcoming atmosphere, afternoon tea for special occasions or just a treat although it is best to pre book that and state any dietary requirements. Well worth frequent visits, friendly helpful staff. cafe my place closes at 2pm
This is lovely homely place to go, its feel comfortable inside and you always get a warm welcome, you have quite sit by yourself or go we friend have a chat.
