This is our 2nd visit here, we're not locals. The menu is very vast & great value, I must say the steak & Ruddles ale pie is very tasty. We even had the ultimate big candymania to share afterwards. The staff were very friendly & there are lots of tables so you do not need to book most of the time.
Excellent family pub, staff were very friendly, cant remember the girls names who were serving, but they gave a great service with a smile ๐ the food was cooked to requirements, would give 100 star if I could, defo go again...thanks again to the team ๐
Good pub food, some great deals available and kids loved their choice of food. Been here again today and yet again another lovely experience. Staff are always super helpful and friendly, we need advice about a nut allergy. They were more then willing to help us find out, they checked and brought out the allergy list. I had a flipping burger which was delicious and it came with topped fries, which just topped it off. Good big size car park with disabled parking available. Again kids loved there food and desserts
I've just been in for a lovely late lunch. Fish and chips with mushy peas and an extraportionofbreadandbutter. I was served by Sofie, who was very pleasant and helpful.
Fish had a lovely light and crisp batter, chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.
The only downside was the Tartare Sauce, which was a bit thin and runny, room for improvement.
Overall highly recommended.
I was served by a staff member called Sophie, she was very polite and helpful with taking my order, another lady behind the counter took my order after I believe called Leslie and she was super friendly also
I have been regaurly visiting the Newton Park for years, Iโm always made to feel welcome and get exceptional service every time and I have never had an issue.
Today I witnessed the manager and her team being verbally abused by a table of customers which saddens me to see this is how society are now treating service staff, they are all human at the end of the day. However, I wanted to write this review to let you know how professional this was handed by the manageress and her team. I witnessed this first hand, they were calm, spoke both professionally and politely despite the difficult situation and abuse they were subjected.
Well done them and thank you for always giving us a positive experience!
Popped in with my mam and sister for food and was pleased to see an extensive menu all reasonably priced and loads of deals, we all opted for lasagne with a side of chips and was very nicely presented and tasted very nice. We had to finish our meal with fudge cake and custard which was delicious, we will definitely be back.
Myself and my 2 daughter went for a meal on Friday and I must say the staff were very friendly the pub was very clean and the food was outstanding service was 10/10 would high recommend we will be returning
This pub is very clean and the food is excellent for a budget offering. Really good example of a Greene King pub. Good choice of beer and lager and very consistent. Staff are polite and proficient and the place is clearly run with a good level of professionalism.
Great pub you can tell itโs a very professionally pub run by the relaxed atmosphere just been in with the wife had a beautiful meal for lunch! Lady that took my order and served my drinks I think may have been the landlady couldn't do enough for us both! Staff were very courteous & very efficient when delivering our meals adding to a very friendly atmosphere! food menu was great loads to choose from that caters for all ๐
Drinks are very reasonably priced compared to another Greenking pub nearby in the area! Easy access to the pub with a substantially large carpark! Will Definately be calling back again ๐
Sunday roast was really good, had the beef and Yorkshire's. Cooked well, delicious tasting, prompt service from the staff.
Really nice pub in High Heaton. Decently portioned tasty food that will replenish you without putting you to sleep. Friendly staff and service even when busy and great vibes ๐Plus large parking lot fir those with a car.
Christmas lunch was really nice,made to feel welcome as we entered,comfortable accommodation. Beers reasonably priced. Definitely worth the visit. Thanks to all staff concerned.
