Delicious food!! A must try cuisine in Newcastle!! Try injera bread with anything you like...very special dinner!! We will be loyal customers
Really enjoyed our food this evening, can't recommend enough! Fantastic!
A lovely meal and a warm welcome. Many thanks!
First time trying East African cuisine. I was surprised how tasty the food is. Although it looks simple but it has some interesting taste. Ordered the veg/meat combo for two and I was so full at the end. They also have some imported beers (Asmara and St George beers). Will recommend to anyone who want to try something new. It was not too expensive as well.
We had an amazing lunch, the staff were so lovely and told us all about the amazing food we were eating and how it’s prepared. We had vegan combo for 3-4 people and a meat dish which was very generous and more than enough for 5 of us. The waitress explained how to eat it with our hands and the tradition of making a bite to eat for other people on the table and giving it to them. Everything was delicious especially all the amazing vegan dishes (the spinach one and the okra one especially). I highly recommend! The coffee was delicious too.
A last minute decision to go for a meal in Newcastle before returning to Durham. I found this little gem. There was 3 of us and we were happily accommodated.
The food was lovely and the people were friendly helpful and very accommodating
I will recommend this restaurant and would happily return
Eritrean food is definitely worth a try. We went for the veg combo for 2, very tasty and good value for money.
Thank you for a lovely meal
Wow! Very impressive authentic Eritrean restaurant. This wasn't just food (delicious though it was) - it was an experience. The ambience is superb, and the staff from the family-run restaurant are very friendly and welcoming. The food and drink have some unique flavours. I thoroughly recommend a visit.
Best food I’ve had in a long time and lovely staff
What an incredible first experience! My partner and I were blown away by the quality and the flavour of the dishes. They felt home made and along with the stunning decor, it made a wonderful fusion. Hisham ensured the warmth of the place until the very end. I definitely recommend it and we will be there again very soon!
The food is very generous and the combo platter is over the top for 2 people. The chilli stuffed with onion and tomato is very spicy, so take caution!
PS: It’s cash only
The food was delicious. I really enjoyed my food and time here. We ordered Lamb dishes. The taste was great. The injera was cold, that was the only issue I found but it was still good and fun to eat.
This was a great meal! We ordered the assorted veg and meat platter for two, a cola and a honey wine as they did not have any beer in stock. All of the food was fantastic and a great introduction to Eritrean cuisine. We had complimentary tea and popcorn which was a really nice and considerate plus. I would 100% come back here to try the rest of the menu.
The only negative is that as I was recommended the honey wine due to the beer being out of stock; I would have assumed a glass would have been a similar price (£3.50ish) however I was charged £6, which had I checked beforehand I would have gone for a cola.
We spent £43 including a £5 tip.
Amazing food at an extremely reasonable price with very friendly service. Would highly recommend.
This unassuming restaurant tucked away behind the life centre in Newcastle delivers more than expected from its one door exterior. After trying Ethiopian food before I have struggled to find it again outside of London so wasn't I pleased when I came across Mosob and it certainly didn't leave anything to be desired. Another added bonus was the freshly squeezed orange juice - some of the most refreshing juice I've tried in the UK. This place is not to be missed.
