Wing Kee Hong Kong Style Cafe - Newcastle upon Tyne - Photo album

I've visited Wing Kee a few times now and every visit has been great. The food is simple but tasty, portion sizes are plentiful and the price point is affordable (cheaper than a lot of restaurants around Newcastle). My only slight niggle about the menu is the lack of vegetarian options. The service
Had a wonderful late night last minute meal here when almost everywhere else on stowell Street (chinatown) was closing. The roast meats particularly the chicken which comes with the garlic sauce is delicious. Generous portions and reasonable prices Service was great here too Can recommend
Wing Kee (Hong Kong Style Cafe) @ Chinatown, Newcastle Upon Tyne Being introduced to this spot by a friend, we were looking forward to getting food similar to home. This restaurant happens to be one of the few that serves Chicken Rice/ Duck Rice while having the meat displayed through glass panels
Was ok. Pork was fatty and greasy. Could be better, noodles was nice like. X
Excellent GEM of a find! We got the set menu £15 each... make sure your hungry!! So much food served. Worth every penny. Authentic Reasonable Will definitely return!
My experience eating at Wing Kee, first time was great, food was nice and friendly attentive staff but the TV volume was way too loud and ruined some of the ambient experience. The last time we ate the food was sadly not on par when we ate the first time, food wasn't as tasty hopefully it was just a
In my opinion the best authentic Chinese restaurant in Newcastle Fantastic hot n sour soup, amazing dim sum Extensive starters and mains. A must try if you haven’t been before Very reasonable prices Staff are great n always make you welcome Everyone I’ve told to go have been suprised I’ve been going
Great place for dim sum and other authentic Hong Kong style dishes. Quick food although lacking in friendly customer service. A good place for a meal at the cheaper end of Chinese cuisine with an informal basic decor.
Nothing fancy but great for that hit of Chinese food at a reasonable price. Food was very good for the price. We had a beef dish, veggies in garlic sauce and rice. It was late so we didn't order the HK style milk tea, but they were brewing it and the ceylon scents were heavenly. I would like to try
Great portions of tasty food. Great service. Even locals ate there.
The food was tasty. We went in two days in a row. However, we ordered 金钱肚 but was served 牛百叶, we asked them to check if they have served the wrong dish but they said no. Clearly they were wrong, I would be concerned if they don’t know the difference between 金钱肚 and 牛百叶 as a restaurant.
Stunning dim sum mix, friendly and fast. Not cloth napkins but that works for me. Its the food that counts
Portion is big, taste very good! 👍🏻
