My wife and her sister had a birthday celebration at their fav pub on 26th april.All the staff were really nice and friendly ..great food from the new menu and a surprise bottle of prosseco from the area manager..Cheers to Alyson and her staff for a great day/night..����������
Got to be the most friendliest pub in wallsend. Myself and my sister come here regularly for breakfast. All staff always make us and our children welcome. Often going that extra mile. Breakfasts are fab and really great price. Big thank you to all staff especially Kate who knows our order better than us �.
Been visiting here with a friend regularly for breakfast, as offering a good range of veggie and vegan food. Service is usually really good and food of a high quality, so slightly disappointed when I brought my other half for the vegetarian breakfast to find they got the order wrong, twice and didn’t have any alternative milk available.
The girl was really nice though and quickly got it sorted.
First time here, early on a Sunday afternoon and the place was less than half full, so was wondering why. We didn't need to worry. Meals turned up quickly and were excellent. We both had the standard mixed grill ( brilliant idea to serve it on a bed of sizzling onions ).
So glad I didn't opt for the large option, would never have finished it.
Will definitely be going back there soon.
Greeted with real warmth and friendliness. Showed to our table. Went and ordered our meals. Came promptly. I had sizzling chicken fajitas and my husband had the hot dawg (which he said was amazing). My fajitas were fresh and delicious. Really enjoyed it.
When a pub does good food well it deserves a shout out. We enjoyed our jumbo fish and chips, gammon steak and a classic mixed grill. Fish was fresh, batter was light, and if my mam says it’s OK, then that’s a bonus.
Awesome! Love this place, food fantastic, staff brilliant. Can't stay away, normally visit once or twice a week depending on my health. Carmen and Ellie make for a great experience, shame Tilly has moved to the kitchen now but she gets my fajitas prefect. Lots of choices on menu but lunchtime wraps missed. Breakfast menu gets thumb's up! Love you guys, Clare & Paul.
The service was absolutely incredible and they made such an effort to help support my mam and my guest as we had a little get together afternoon which I throughly enjoyed. The saxophonist was such a different vibe and made the day so special, massive thanks to all team at Monkey, even though it was so busy the standard and service to food was excellent everyone was being acknowledged and no time passed were we had to wait or ask for anything they were amazing.
Our meal was very nice, an Italian lamb, scampi and chips and a hunters chicken with salad. The salad would have been better with cucumber with the tomato and lettuce. As for the desserts, husband asked for apple pie and custard which he got. I asked for one mango yoghurt. When asked which one I said the one with two scoops. We ended up getting and being billed for apple pie and two of those - Mam had one rather than take it back, it was also her turn to pay this week. The waitress looked new to the job, could do with a bit more practice.
Fantastic staff and delicious food. Couldn't have asked for anything else, the help to get food to accommodate gluten and dairy allergies was amazing. Thanks for a great lunch.
What a fantastic night!
Me and my husband came tonight and after reading recent reviews my husband was hesitant but I twisted his arm and I’m glad I did what a laugh we’ve had with the staff tonight. Ordered 2 mega mixed grill (which was to much for me) but the other half cleared his plate although we got told there was a wait our meals were out in 20/25 minutes
Had a great chat with the chef (short hair woman) and fab atmosphere in the restaurant and even better atmosphere in the bar thank you to yous all for a laugh and fabulous food we’ll be back soon x
Lovely local pub, recent changes in food serving times and early closing on some days so check first but wouldnt stop us going again and again
