Came in here on two evenings during a brief stay in Newcastle. Less crowded than some other nearby pubs. Staff efficient and helpful. Good beer. Tended to close surprisingly early, however I'd certainly recommend this pub.

It's been a long time since I last visited The Duke of Wellington, and although it has reduced in size, it's still a great Newcastle traditional old pub

I used this place 50 years ago and it hasn’t changed a proper pub with great atmosphere

Friendly Bar staff excellent atmosphere

A proppa pub, with sport on the TV. I'm not into sports/ footy personally, so that wasn't important. 80's/ 90's music on, so as an "oldie" suited me. Beer us cheaper than many bars in the Toon, so can't complain. Barmaid was canny too.

Drinks are good and it's a really friendly and pleasant drinking experience. Reasonably priced, good choice of drinks as well.

Great traditional pub,good prices, very good bar staff she was very good at her job, very busy ,but didn't have to wait long to be served, always had a smile as well , well worth a visit,

Decent pint and the barman new how to pull a good pint of beer 😁

Had a quick pint watching the match, lots of tvs so you can see the match from anywhere in the pub.

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, more of a chilled out bar. Toilets aren't the best.
