Fantastic little boutique hotel with stunning rooms and great food. The hotel only has a small number of rooms and carpeted stairs, no lift. This means especially on the top floor it is very quiet at night.

Well located within easy reach of the town and transport links to Newcastle. Large comfortable room with plenty of storage and an equally spacious bathroom. Would have been 5 stars but we would have liked more choice at breakfast and the milk was left out too long.
We had a great stay, one night. Shelia run a very friendly hotel, lovely decor & immaculately clean. Continental breakfast was amazing with a great variety.

Quite nicely presented but a few niggles. Many of the fixtures and fittings are overly bling but some (like the drain plug in the shower) were past their prime. The lock on our ensuite door was faulty. The parking is on-road and they don't have enough permits for all rooms. No real problems, though.
It is clean and functionl, not many frills but it doesn't claim to have any. In my opinion i believe, if workable, water, soft drinks and crisps in the room would be good for those who arrive later in the evening . Been 3 times and returning in 10 days.
A joy to stay at! Wonderful service upon arrival, including a free drink which was incredibly welcome after a long drive. Lovely comfortable room and lovely features around the building.
Stayed a couple of times here with my son in a comfortable, clean, tidy, room.
The staff were really helpful and couldn't do enough for us, helping me in and out with bags etc.
Would highly recommend staying here - nothing is a problem to them.
