Nothing better than home cooked food... I had breast of chicken hand made chips peas and peppercorn sauce, it was delicious 😋 👌. All too often when you eat out these days you'll find that the food is usually frozen or pre made. I was pleasantly surprised with this quality of food and very reasonable
What a wonderful little gem this place is. Just left and couldn’t wait to write my review! Open fire, nice decor, lovely and clean. We’ve been all over the world and have never come across a place where every single member off staff are not only welcoming but genuinely nice, chatty to customers and
We have just had the most amazing steak with chips peppercorn sauce , Steak n Ale Pie .. wow value for money , and cooked to perfection, staff are friendly, just top notch this place . Proper home cooked food Thanks
First time at the causey since it being under new management, fantastic service and great delicious food! Brought my baby son out with us and it was nice that the staff talked to him too. 100% recommend and will be returning for more delicious scran 👍*the wife already started eating her steak before
Lovely afternoon tea at one of my favourite pubs in the area. Excellent value for money and Wonderful staff, nothing is a bother for them. Would definitely recommend & for meals, drinks & a night out.
Super Sunday lunch which was excellent value and no issues getting seated when other places were busy. Good was great but veg was a bit overdone.giant Yorkshire puds were great and loads of gravy meat was nice and tender too. Would recommend coming here
A heart meal, very tasty, large portion for those that eat big. Are dig friendly as a group bought two dogs in, but no water inside for the dogs.
Had a selection of starters and sides which are nicely presented and rather tasty. Very friendly and relaxing place with lovely views of the countryside all around.
Good food. Big servings. Truly filling. We had a great time. Really a value for money. The place is unassuming but the food is amazing.
Amazing family day out for everyone. Causey Arch is a beautiful place to visit, it has walks, History and the Tanfield railway. It has free parking, picnic areas and a two cafes if you forget to take a picnic. It's close to Beamish which is another added bonus. Enjoy
