Last time we went here it was 12+ years ago, its still going. They were understaffed due to part time students returning home but still got good service and tasty food. Not a bad choice, still, to eat here.
The food is delicious and authentic. DIMSUM variety are OK and menu list, wow ... all are chinese food. Willing to come back in the future.
Lovely food and mostly good service. My partners soup was cold. He sent it back twice. This was followed by apologies from the manageress and several of the waiting staff, and accompanied by a significant reduction in the bill. They did all they could to make the situation right. The food was very g
Visiting Newcastle, we were looking forward to good Chinese food. We were not disappointed at Palace Garden. The food was excellent and arrived quickly - always a bonus when eating out with kids. The menu is very long and could be off-putting. Our strategy was to order a range of different dim s
Nice interior and good quality food
Went here for graduation dinner night! Table of 10 for my Malaysian family and they were very pleased ! Chris the manager was so welcoming and went out of the way to accommodate to our needs. The owner of the restaurant is lovely as well xxx definitely a gem ! πŸ’• it's rare to find authentic Chinese/C
I've seen and worked in their kitchens as a contractor. I still eat here and find the food to be very nice. That should tell you all you need to know! The owners, Peter and his lovely wife Ann are lovely people, they can't do enough to please you!
Amazing for Chinese food. Quality is great and consistently good especially dim sums. Sometimes it very hot and miss in many places this place has the best consistency when it comes to dim sums. If you love Chinese food and din sums then for sure come here and visit. πŸ‘ Thoroughly recommended.
I've been here a few times with the family and on all of those occasions, both the food and the service have been excellent. One of the reviews below states that the staff are unfriendly - however, they were some of the friendliest people I've ever came across. I almost never leave reviews but this
This place is an institution. Excellent dim sum menu, and you can get some real classic dishes here - not just for the lemon chicken brigade, though they are well catered-for as well. Staff are really friendly & the prices are reasonable, which is always pleasing too.
Great food lovely staff
I've been here since I was a child and I'm glad to say it's interior hasn't changed at all (except the major pond inside but sadly it was due to children throwing food in it to the fishes). The food is exceptional and the service is friendly, family friendly but not wheelchair accessible.
I can’t rate this restaurant highly enough, the staff were absolutely fantastic and made each of my visits an event. The food is very authentic, flavoursome and pretty much ticks all the boxes you would want ticked. Again, wonderful, wondeful place!
I would highly recommend. The food, the choice of menu, and price, the service, attention to detail is excellent. You never feel rushed or pressured. Definitely well worth a visit.
I was hungry after the gym and went to palace garden to eat with my friends. I was introduced by a flight of stairs leading towards the restaurant where it revealed a comfortable atmosphere with friendly staff. The food was on point when I got the 3 roast with rice. The duck was succulent flowing wi
I met Chris, the manager and some of his staff when I took my Son out for Chinese. What an excellent host, delicious food and totally worth the spend. This is my new restertaunt of choice.
A good selection of dim sum on brought around on trolleys on a Sunday. There are a lot of tables here but they're not packed closely together so plenty of space to enjoy your meal.
