Gunner Tavern - Newcastle upon Tyne - Photo album

Came here on the recommendation of a friend who used to live here. Not disappointed! £4.80 for a cask ale pint is definitely the kind of thing I’m looking for: much more expensive pints to be found elsewhere in Newcastle. Was relatively quiet on a Tuesday evening, not too busy and not dead. Server w
Nicely done out. Kid and dog friendly. Nicely spread out, not too many tables packed in. We had Sunday lunch, the roast was pretty big in spite of being a kid's portion. Very clean throughout. All of the food was well done and reasonably priced. It did take a while to come out, easily long enough to
Done a lovely job of renovating from what used to be here, now it's a good mix of wood panelling and some more modern furniture. A mix of different seating options inside and out. A few different beers on from both big breweries and better craft options. A few cask options too which was good to see.
Staff were really sweet, talked to almost everyone who was on shift at that time and they were all so nice! Food was good, we couldn’t finish the sharer between two people, might be made for 3-4; cocktails were good as well, especially their own rendition of the Bloody Mary
Light and airy due to the big windows, cracking service, good choice of beers, I settled for the Jarl. Menu looked good but only here for the beer. Definitely worth another visit soon.
Great pub, great atmosphere with a great selection of beers, really friendly and happy staff when we visited too, which makes a difference to your evening.
Absolutely stunning, warm interiors and huge selection of spirits. Will definitely come back, especially for the wings!
Great food, service and atmosphere, came here for a works night out to celebrate a completed contract.
I really like Gunner Tavern, the food is nice and they have a great selection of beers. The place gets quite busy but there is ample seating and the vibe is really nice. It’s directly opposite the train station which makes it the perfect first stop or last stop before the train station. They also d
Great and plenty of food ! I was so stuffed at the end. Nice atmosphere also. And great service !
Went during the day so not sure what it's like at night. Had some food and drinks. Food was good and portion size was enough to fill. Prices reasonable for the area
I went in for a pint whilst waiting for a train with a few friends, we were all served promtly and were able to get a nice comfortable seat so I couldn't complain. I would definitely grab a pint from here again.
Always a favourite bar if mine when in Newcastle. Great bar, great location, and always great music too.
A good bar that is ideal for access to the central station. The feeling in the place is much more relaxed than when it was Gotham town bar.
I absolutely love this pub .. safe for a woman to go drinking alone (yes alone so please ladies don’t fret ok) .. staff are super friendly and I have the best time ever in this place … me and my mates come in here at least twice a month and I myself come in on my own … honest .. this place rocks … s
There was a crowd of 11 of us wandering through town after getting some food, looking for a nice place to get a few post dinner drinks, and wandered passed The Gunner. We thought we would give it a try, so we wandered in. luckily, there was a big table beside the window that was empty, so we grabbed
Good location, just slightly left, across from the central station. Oh and the Brown ale was cheap. Happy days! 😊
