Long queue shows enthusiasm. Doughnuts are okay. We try three different types. Glazed one with sprinkles is not the best, honeycomb too sweet, the other one is better.
Okay doughnuts are compensated by the ambience. We may come again next month for a better flavour/new menu.
Great donut shop. More than a donut as it is an experience. Wonderful flavours brought to life in a luxurious soft, airy, dough that is more effervescent pastry filled with luxurious flavours than the solid dough often associated with donuts.
The everything cookie is a special treat, get it when it is available.
Finally, in the summer, the ice cream sandwiches are simply mind blowing. Ice cream sandwiches as they should be, rich, thick, delightfully sweet and seductive.
The photo is the damage done! With their classic raspberry filled donut still to go!
Didn't know about this place until a friend I was visiting took me there for breakfast. The queue was around 20 people strong and once you taste the doughnuts you understand why. It's a great local business, using local ingredients to make the softest and most delicious doughnut I've tasted.
I tried the one with peach and custard-like cream (but better!) as well as the dough balls and would recommend both.

Best doughnuts in the North East. We bike down with our nephew quite often so a fresh tasty doughnut is a welcome treat. Great vibe at the seating area outside, especially on a sunny morning. If they've got them on, the raspberry lemonades are so refreshing, would recommend!
The best donuts in Newcastle. They are so fresh, so soft and the flavours are incredible. The drinks are always very slow to come out but I can forgive that because the baked goods are to die for !
The best doughnuts in Newcastle! They have a good variety of flavors and the coffee is great too.
This place is unbeatable. The donuts are the freshest I've ever had. We have enjoyed donuts from Proven Goods for a long time and are never disappointed. Their coffee is lovely too and the staff are welcoming and friendly.
I'm going to repeat what I said to my sister-in-law. "Like eating clouds of dough". The selection varies every month but this was our first visit. Sister-in-law and hubby went for the Tiramisu and I went for the Eton Mess. My son had the Homer. We also got the Marshmallow Fluff hot chocolate. All perfect and reasonably priced too. The wait in the queue was well worth it. They should expand to more locations!
Lovely little donut place. Very tasty donuts and flavours changing constantly so you never get bored. Although you have to act fast as they run out pretty fast and it's only open for 3 days every week.
Best doughnuts ever! They are amazingly good. Not cheap but definitely worth it for a treat! Can't wait to return!
