We visited as part of our stay at Premier Inn, and paid for as a meal deal. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service was also great. The food arrived quickly, albeit was a bit quiet in the restaurant that evening.

They have this good offer for Cocktails 4 till 8 pm, bartenders were polite and nice.
After a tiring day out, decided to grab some “good” or decent food to fill the tummy, hence the visit to this place 🤩
Went in, was slightly confused due to the layout of the bar & the restaurant, but we were ushered by one of the friendly bartender.
Steak was perfectly cooked as per my request. A little bit pinkish - rare, but no biggie. Chicken wings is just ok. Expected it to be the real “korean” crunchy & crispy chicken since there’s none of it here yet in NCL 😔
Eat Meat……frickin rad. Perfection. Clean. Perfect service with
a smile. All you need to fill up on good piles of clean meat.
Clean bathrooms. Family friendly but non family sections
also. Can be romantic. Food tastes amazing and feels good 👍

Stayed at the hotel & booked in for a meal, excellent service from start to finish, lots to choose from off the menu & the food was excellent , fresh & tasty, did not have to wait long either, comfy seating too.
We had breakfast in the morning, much to choose from, fresh hot food & muvh more to choose from, coffee was excellent too, again Excellent service from all the staff, would 100% reccomend.
Quality food and quick service and if you like your top shelf gins they have good selection of tonics. No grumpy staff either, they are always super friendly. Oh and the best popcorn I've ever had. Enjoy
Popped in as we seen it was 2 for 1 cocktails. We decided to get 4 small plates to soak up some of the alcohol.
These were tasty however I don't think it was worth £20 for 4 plates. The cocktails however were amazing. Good amount of alcohol and loads of flavour.
It would be nice to go back for a meal as it looked great.
Up in Newcastle to buy a car with friends. Had no real plans and decided to try it.
The girls loved the cocktails, all of them lol and the food was different class.
From the popcorn taster thru to my rare fillet, the food was exceptional.
Will definitely be back next time I'm up that way

Didn't expect to be writing a review of the restaurant when the night was all about Sam Fender but credit where and all that. Pre gig meal. Servers were fabulous. Place was busy but not mental but we did go early (4pm). Food was delicious (pleasantly surprised as we kind of booked on spec never been before thought it might be a bit 'chainy' ). Servers though were so canny.....James must have a sixth sense as whenever we needed something he just managed to meet my eye contact immediately despite being constantly occupied with other customers. Friendly and engaging but didn't get frustrated with us never being ready to order (2 kids and pre gig excitement we were just too busy to read the menu!). I didn't catch our second server's name....tall, beautifully done makeup (hope this doesn't offend as a way of identifying someone but we just noticed and immediately felt we should go put some lipgloss on!)....but thank you and sorry for splitting the bill we know it's a pain. 1 star off because there was live music in the bar which made it virtually impossible to have a conversation but we know the whole city was buzzing for Sam. Sure its 5 star worthy on a normal night 😊
Every dish I try there is amazing, so tasty !! Service is great and a super quiet and chill atmosphere. I love that they have early lunch menus during the week and sunday roasts that are INCREDIBLE! My favourite new restaurant in Newcastle!

Decided to visit Bar and Block Steakhouse as it was within walking distance of our hotel
What an amazing Steakhouse
Food was excellent, cooked to perfection and staff were very knowledgeable and attentive

Booked bar and block for my brother's (Tom) birthday who was turning 33 today. Tom has learning difficulties and autism and I made the restaurant aware of this when we booked. Bar and block called me earlier this week to ask what they could do to prevent any triggers for Tom to make this the best experience possible which was extremely thoughtful. Upon arriving the servers were absolutely lovely with Tom and provided him with a drink on the house, towards the end of the meal they arrived with an ice-cream with a birthday candle, card and small gift. We were blown away by how thoughtful the staff were and the service in general (we also enjoyed our steak very much!)
Would highly recommend bar and block for such inclusiveness and care towards their customers.

After some confusion at the start of our meal (between who was taking our order) we were very politely served by whom I can only assume was the manager. We enjoyed the prawn starter to share and then a 12oz ribeye and a 12oz fillet to share. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to the requirement (medium rare) and the chips were very nicely cooked. The kind gentlemen even took our drinks off the bill as an apology, which was a very nice gesture of which I reciprocated. This was made better with not only the 50% off up to £20 (government deal) but instead they're doing 50% off the final bill!
All together a wonderful evening and meal and we will definitely be back to take up the managers suggestion.
Updated: I have been a few times now and the food is still unbelievable and the staff are so friendly!! Will be back alot!
