My first visit to GDK Sunderland and have to say it was insane.
Charlotte who was behind the counter serving was beautiful with a gorgeous smile. Super friendly and helpful.
She talked us through the menu and Mum and I decided on the OG Kebab.
It was beautiful and very generous portion. I didn’t think I’d eat it all. But as it was so very good I managed it all.
Delicious and a lovely clean eating area.

Amazing. Ordered a beef donee wrap for the first time. One of the best I’ve had. It is not greasy and when you take a bite you don’t have sauce dripping or pouring out of the wrap. The proportion of sauce is in fact perfect. The meat is right. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy. Love it.

The OG mixed kebab I had was delicious and a really different offering to what's available nearby. The bread is like a crusty bap with great crunch. The sauce covering the meat and salad is like a creamy dill sauce - really delicious could have had another.
Chips were fresh. Toppings are OK but for 50p extra for sauce or powder you don't get much extra. The powder should be max 20p more. Cheese sauce should be more generous.
There's a great range of drinks here (no alcohol). On the meal deal you get the standards cans or water, or pay 50p more for the fancier drinks like raspberry lemonade.
On Tuesdays there's a great 2 for 1 deal on mains but be aware this finishes sharp at midnight. So if you are out on Tuesday night don't expect them to honour this deal even if it's 1 minute past midnight.
That's one thing that feels a bit off here - some of the staff don't seem to be so happy to be working here even on a quiet night.
Guess you can't have everything! But the food was spot on this time. 💯 Recommend
I do like a GDK..... The McDonald's of the kebab world, wherever I stay I always Google GDK for my dinner..... Go to the gym then get a mixed meat (beef+chicken) gym box with extra meat which is basically a mixed kebab with salad and no bread of any kind... It is reasonably priced I think..... There are lots of options with bread etc including various sides..... You don't feel like you have eaten badly after one of these it's a great compromise if you are eating clean but feel like a takeaway type meal ......
This is one of my favourite places to get a quick bite, but it's also recently became my favourite place to go for a big meal since 2 for 1 Tuesdays.
Great tasting food, service needs a bit of work as she nearly didn't give me my second main for free even when I showed her the poster, but everyone makes mistakes, I forgave her during my first bite of the Coco Kebab.
I recommend this place to meat lovers.
GDK have upped the ante for what is a staple of British drunken life.
A very well put together kebab with, what tastes like, fine ingredients.
It's like G Ramsey has gone into your local kebab shop and yelled at the manager until he cried.
Bit pricey, for a kebab, but worth it.
No more vinegary salad, crisp yet soft pitta, sauces that actually add value to the taste and not just disguise it.
Try it, if you've ever had a kebab you'll be impressed.

Went for tea on a Wednesday evening, was clean and not a lot of people in. Ordered two meals - Doritos burger with cheesey chips. The service was a little slow but the staff were very polite and helpful. We took a buzzer sat down with our drinks and waited for our food. Lady came over and food looked amazing, it tasted even better!!! Will be back when I'm next in town and going to try the protein gym box.
Taste is really good and different then traditional Turkish doner kebab. Good variety but quantity is not sufficient.
Reasonably pricing. Ample sitting spaces and easy access from station or central Newcastle.

Beautiful modern design and friendly staff as well as the most important quality point of food is very wonderful and the bread is crisp and delicious I advise you to try it and surely I will be back more important again soon.
